Many people after they graduate high school just truly feel done with school. Many loose motivation during their senior year and after they graduate many may fail to gain it back. This factor causes them to not show up to college.

Many students decide to take a "break" after high school and start working. In many cases, once people realize how easy it is to gain some money, they decide to put education on the side to follow an "easier" path.

Some people work themselves too hard over the summer so much to the point where once the school year starts they just crash. Whether it be their jobs or just trying to have as much fun as possible at parties and hangouts, exhaustion is real.

Once summer starts, or ends, students realize that they didn't accumulate what was needed to afford the tuition for their college. They realize that they can't afford to attend college, so they don't show up.

I think that after school is over, especially after senior year, most people are burnt out and since they finally have a break they fully check out. They want the no stress feeling of summer to be long-term and decide to pursue something that is easier than going back to school.

Some people burn out after trying to save money for college. They spend most if not all of summer working saving up money for college. And end up preferring to work and make money rather than go to college.

I feel like a lot of people of get so excited after high school. Once summer hits they want to go full out and experience everything and procrastinate on doing everything last minute. After taking there time on summer they'll realize how behind they are on college and on there essentials for dorm or supplies. Eventually making it hard on themselves.

I feel like the reason this happen is because so many people are burned out from all their hard work from highschool so they are just done with school but I believe that they should use that as a motivation to work even harder and succeed so all there hard work in highschool doesn't go to waste

People like me don't know what to major in or what their passionate about so they may take a gap year. Money could also be a problem or they could js be done with school. They could also be saving money.
