Hi Everybody,
I am Selda from Türkiye. I work Elazığ Anatolian High School in Elazığ. I graduated from university in 2005. After graduation, I applied for Comenius-2 Language Assistantship, which is an EU youth and education project for new graduates and juniors & seniors in university with majors in education. I was appointed to a hauptschule in Neuhaus, Austria, where I co-taught classes and led clubs as a language assistant from October 2005 to March 2006.
Besides my experience as a language assistant, I have taken part in a number of other EU projects since I started working as a teacher. In 2010, our school hosted a language assistant from Germany with my initiative. Having been a language assistant myself, I thought that my students would greatly benefit from the cultural experience, and that they would be more enthusiastic about learning languages. My own experience as an assistant helped me do my best as a supervisor, too. In 2011, I attended an in-service training program in England named “2 Week Course for Teachers of English at Primary Level: Creativity in the Classroom”. It was a great chance for me to get ideas from experienced colleagues. I worked at a primary school between 2014-2020.
I have been working as an English teacher at Elazığ Anatolian High School in Elazığ .
I believe we will do our best as a team in this Project. Our students will be able to improve their language skills besides raising their digital responsibility and sustainability.
