I know how UDL really well from the iep/504 end to create more access points for students to engage and understand the material, key skills, and connections. It can be with simplified language, clear instructions, sentence starters, checklists, etc. It requires a careful eye to be on the lookout for uncommon human experiences, which can sometimes isolate students (socio-economic).

I grew up in PWIs and schools where English was "the standard" for at-home language (and kids who had different languages weren't comfortable sharing). I want to learn how to differentiate for EL learners, multi-lingual students, and students who are building their literacy skills from below-level.
