My name is Henry, I’m a 21 year old volunteer for Conscious Planet Save Soil Movement, that has just been created early this year by Sadhguru. Sadhguru runs a Yoga Foundation and is very famous in India, recently he has been busy with ecological matters, Rally for Rivers and Cauvery Calling, river restoration movements to combat desertification in his province in India, Tamil Nadu. So far it has been hugely successful and has contributed to planting 59 Million trees in a much needed manner as such subtropical regions are very troubled with Monsoons and Desertification. 

I am reaching out, in the hopes to share this new movement with you as I believe it has great potential to become relevant . I absolutely love the Soil Association, and much like your group, Conscious Planet aims to share with the world, that the solution to Climate Issues is Healthy Soil. The core topics on why soil is essential, of which we aim to raise awareness of are Carbon Sequestration for Global Warming, Soil Organic Content for Food, Soil Water Retention and Best Farming Practices.

I would greatly appreciate if you could check out their website, https://www.consciousplanet.org/. The founder and face of the movement, Sadhguru has very large social reach. The movement right now is in collaboration with the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), and has the public support of many notable figures such as The Dalai Lama, Dr Jane Goodall, Marc Benioff Founder of Sales Force and Klaus Schwab Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum. Currently, Sadhguru is using his charisma skills to get social media influencers to share this movement with the world and for it to gain credibility.

Conscious Planet is a Global Movement to initiate a conscious approach to soil and planet. The movement seeks to show governments of all nations that their citizens want a policy to revitalize soil and ecology. To activate and demonstrate the support of over 3 billion citizens, Sadhguru will be riding a motorcycle alone, over 30,000 kilometers across 24 nations.The rally will start in London and end in southern India, where the Cauvery Calling project, initiated by Sadhguru, has enabled 125,000 farmers to plant 62 million trees to revive soil and river Cauvery. Activating citizen participation will ensure that ecological issues become election issues, so that governments create policies and set budgets for ecological solutions, leading to sustained implementation.

However, the movement is still in its early stages and not much information is available, likely it will start to kick off on the 21st of March when Sadhguru commences his World Motorcycle Rally (Starting in London!). Currently the organisation is largely volunteers from the Isha Foundation and community ran, slowly gaining wider support. Volunteers like me for example are doing stuff such as in my case hosting presentations at Universities, reaching out to Professors, Teachers, Influencers and sharing as much as we can on Social Media. 

I am sharing this with you guys as it would be extremely beneficial and wonderful if the Soil Association and this new Conscious Planet Movement could coordinate in some way for it to get kickstarted! Conscious Planet Movement is about making people talk about Soil, creating the emphasis and educating them on why it is the single best solution. If it works, it would be wonderful!
