3. Description of how the tool might be used in instruction to improve student learning. (Problem Based Learning)

Problem Based Learning is described as providing learners with real world problems in order to build their critical thinking skills. The goal for learners in a problem-based learning situation is for them to be able to: identify a problem, develop a plan to solve the problem, implement the plan they've developed, and then evaluate the implementation.

Pebble Go is the perfect tool for learning about animals and famous people. Because it's emphasized that problem-based learning should not be project based, learners could learn about the life cycle of a frog in order to provide resources for a class pet, (Tadpole) to become a frog. Learners could also learn about various animals for a research assignment or to develop a plan to keep animals safe from their predators. Learners could also research LeBron James to learn how dunk a basketball.

Pebble Go isn't a tool that I would access for personal use outside of lesson planning, curriculum writing. I do think my son would enjoy watching the videos about different animals, especially because they are read along videos. I recently just participated in curriculum writing and suggested using Pebble Go for a few lessons.

The biggest drawback from Pebble Go is the limited amount of information that is has. The only categories for students to learn about on the database are animals and biographies. I would recommend adding information about careers, cities/ places, and an area for STEM.

The database is very easy to navigate and accessible for young learners but more information for students to research would make the database even better.
