1) Humans needed to be loyal in the past for survival. Is it something that it now less important in the 2000’s?
I think that in the past loyalty was crucial for survival but nowadays is still important. In order to build trust and relationship with people you need loyalty to the friendship. Loyalty is also key for business, for example a business needs loyal employees and also loyal customers to keep your business thriving.
2) Is loyalty more important to you than “popularity” or “fitting in”? Why or why not?
I think that loyalty is more important to be than being popular because loyalty builds trust and having loyal friends who are always by your side are important for me. Loyal friends are often friends for life which is better than flakey friends that don't last long because you can't trust them.

Last night there was a church that caught fire with children stuck inside. Johnny Cade and Ponyboy are saviours of school children trapped in the depth of the fires. The duo jump out of their car as they see the church that they were recently staying at caught ablaze, they instantly sprint inside as they hear the screams of the school children stuck inside the church. Acting on instinct they crawl in the window of the church where they find the children huddled together. The brave good samaritans haul the children through the window one by one. Their friend Dally yells at them to get out since the roof starts collapsing and Johnny shoves Ponyboy towards the window where Dally knocks him out for his own safety. Dally attempts to save Johnny but comes out with a badly burnt arm, but Johnny comes out severely burnt and with a broken back, he is currently in the hospital in critical condition. The three saved all of the chilren and are now heroes.

I think that the tragic events such as Johnny and Dally dying were necessary events since it shows how real the consequences of their actions really are. And it shows how real the emotions and mental health of these kids, who are just kids and were born into this, they didn't ask for the pain that they have to go through. It also shows that Johnny is selfless for saving those kids and that the greasers stereotypes don't apply to everyone. Dally's death shows how loyal and close they really are since he was willing to die in spite of Johnny's death. They are all family to each other and are there for each other through everything, like Dally was there when Johnny killed Bob. The events also forward the plot of the book because if Johnny didn't kill anyone than the plot wouldn't have developed and wouldn't have had a peek into the personalities of the Greasers.

In the Bible, the Garden of Eden is a perfect natural paradise.

Line 1: "Nature’s first green is gold." In using "green," Frosts suggests two possible meanings: green is both the color we associate with nature, such as in grass or tree leaves, and it also metaphorically means "new." By using a word like green, with concrete visual associations, we can see green grass and foliage. We can see that in dawn's earliest sunlight (or, metaphorically, in Paradise before the Fall) grass and foliage might look golden.

Line 2: This line uses personification to talk about nature. It refers to nature as a "her" and says that she has a hard time holding on to the color gold, Frost could be referring to Mother Nature.

Nothing Gold Can Stay Outsiders

Johnny says to Ponyboy when he is on his death bed to "stay gold, Ponyboy, stay gold" this is a direct reference to Robert Frost's poem Nothing Gold can Stay. And it seems by the end of the novel, the boys apply this idea to youthful innocence, believing that they cannot remain forever unsullied (made impure) by the harsh realities of life. They are exposed to the hard life in the East side. Here, Johnny urges Ponyboy to remain gold, or in other words innocent and pure. Johnny now senses the uselessness of fighting; he knows that Ponyboy is better than the average greaser stereotype, and he wants Ponyboy to hold onto the golden qualities that set him apart from his companions, such as Dally. Randy also realizes this when Bob dies, so he does not attend the rumble, he says that theres no point in fighting any more. This also recalls to the period of time during which the boys’ friendship blossoms and solidifies during their time together at the church. During this blissful time, the two boys read, talk, and smoke, seeming to escape the adult world of responsibilities. Like the gold of the poem, however, this idyll (happy scene) is tinged with sadness. Just as the gold in the poem vanishes, the idyll must end, and the boys must face the consequences of the murder of Bob.
