How does technology impact my life? That is a great question. For the past decade technology has had probably the greatest impact of all time on humans. Was it good or bad? Most people see it as a huge opportunity to spread your thoughts so fast and efficient. It was a way to make the world better. More opportunities and chances for everyone. According to https://www.forbes.com technology has given a way to talk. Phones are better than ever. Computers are quick and some of them even have touch screens. Imagine a messenger letter on steroids. That it was pretty much what technology is. However, their is another side of all this great stuff. We all know it was amazing some people view it as lazy, big tech has too much power, and everyone says that you don't even need to leave your house anymore. In https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/ it says that, "Overuse of technology may have a chance of ruining your child's mental health. Big tech companies though like amazon are the best. If I want something I just click and boom. Like that I have a new pair of shoes. I think technology can grow even bigger than it is now and run everything. The way these big companies are growing it looks like they will take over everything. All these little companies will have to move and relocate. Technology is everything for me. Education is on a chromebook, sports channels, are on TV's, friends are on social media, influencers are on my phone everyday. So how does technology impact my life again? It has changed my life forever.

The elements that shape my life are my family, beliefs, friends, passions, hobbies, religion, God, and Love. I enjoy many things of my culture. I love wearing a cross, going to church every Sunday, praying every night, and loving my family no matter what. I also love going to play tennis when I'm not feeling good. It takes my mind of the bad things in life. According to https://health.clevelandclinic.org/mental-health-in-athletes/ Athletes do play a sport to get their mind of things in life. The audience that you are surrounded by creates your life/culture. If you are hanging around nice and educated people you will most likely be the same. If you are hanging around bad influences you will act like them. Our generation is very different from my Dads generation though. Our culture now is spread through phones and computers while in the 1980's it was spread through notes, messages, and gifts. You had to be more interested back then.

I have lived in Burr ridge, IL, for about 12 years now. Before We lived here in Burr ridge we lived in Pasadena, CA for about 2-3 years. Still have no idea why we left California but it is what it is. Burr Ridge has a population of about 10,800 people and the average income of a household of $152,000. This is above average. Our neighborhood is split up with 75.4% white, 5.5% Hispanic, 1.5% black, and 16.3% Asian. Burr ridge is a very good wealthy area with amazing districts. Burr ridge has had a very little crime rate sitting at 9 crimes in 2017 out of 11,000 people. However this number is inclining. We can get this information from (Macro trends). The overall score of is 91.65/100. Hinsdale south is ranked 71st out of thousands of schools according to www.usnews.com. Schools near us exceeded expectations by at least 8%. These numbers are very good for Illinois.

Their are many agents of socialization. They can go from your brother to the president. They change your perception and beliefs of the world. Let's start with family though. This one affects most people quite a bit. When you are young your parents teach you many things. They tell you what is right and wrong. You then get used to it and go along with it all your life. According to https://www.child-encyclopedia.com nearly 43% of kids beliefs are based around their parents/surroundings family. Then we go on to peers. This one was actually real cool for me. My friends always have very strong beliefs. That is why I am friends with them to this day. They impacted my beliefs a lot so now we can all relate. The biggest agent of socialization these days are political systems. "Trump is better, Biden is better" has taken such a toll on people. They will live a certain way because of they who think is the better political leader. Lots of my family argue because of these politics. It affects everyone's beliefs in the whole wide world. Then we go to religion. This one is the most important to me. I have been going to St. John the Baptist Church my whole entire life. I have been brought into life with the Catholics and now I am one. The main thing that shapes my beliefs are my elders. They teach me things that show me the right way into an amazing future.

The people around me with power are, governor, mayor, senators, and many other people in the office. It can also be by actual force, wealthiness including numbers. In my life I find power in almost nothing. In my family like usual the parents have all the power in the world. In my situation I am also the youngest sibling. This means I am at the bottom of power. As I grow older though I will eventually become an adult that will get more say in our family. This is according to myself. In school I am also a freshman student. This means that I have pretty much no power once again. Their are many ways I could increase my power within school. One way is obviously as I grow older I will become a senior and be on top of everyone. The best way to gain more power is taking more courses. The more knowledge the more power. Power is highly based on economic activity. The government. This is one thing where power is given in time. I am just a US citizen with no power doing what I am supposed to. One way to gain more power in the government is to run for positions, get people to join your side, and show that you can lead. This is according to https://knowledge.insead.edu/.
