         <description><![CDATA[<div>Purpose: to study animal behavior and show that reinforcement can affect behavior<br>&nbsp;<br>Procedure: he created the skinner box and put a rat and lever inside the box where everytime the rat pressed the lever he was rewarded<br>-he did the same with a pigeon<br><br>Results: found operant conditioning and discrimination<br>-discrimation: a stimulus that elicits a response after association with reinforcement.. used to describe behavior only<br>-schedule of reinforcement: when reinforcement is made available to the subject or participant only some of the time<br>-he made behavior an important part of psychology<br><br>Future:<br>-taught children with speech problems to talk<br>-helps parents teach their kids how to use the bathroom<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-purpose of condition aversion was to find out if a subject will continue to eat if they know it will affect them negatively subconciously<br>-classical conditioning<br>-Researchers: john Garcia, Ivan Pavlov, John Locke, Ervin and Koelling<br>-he gave rats saccharin solution and another group induced radiation to see how they would react 3 days later<br>-results: they chose not to drink the solution because they associated the solution with nausea caused by the x irradiation<br>-it was not ethical, they shocked the rats and made them feel nauseous&nbsp;<br>-future impacts: aqcuired concept of responses versus innate<br>-this is "the ability to learn certain things can itself be instinctive"</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-purpose was to support the theory that our perceptions of power and control are learned from experience<br>-follows classical conditioning<br>-dogs were shocked and would see how they would react&nbsp; and they found that some dogs just waited out the shocks because they learned helplessness<br>-this was not ethical because the animals were harmed and it was not justified-their everyday lifestyle was affected<br>-relevance: a teen suffering from depression and a broken tv, you stop trying.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-albert bandura, dorothea Ross<br>-Bobo doll experiment<br>--purpos: to determine if children mimic aggressive model<br>-How? each group was placed in a room with toys, an adult model was put in the room to demonstrate how they would act with the doll and then the children that were exposed to aggression/poor model behavior were more likely to imitate the behaviors.&nbsp;<br>=== Boy behaviors were more influenced by male model<br>-the boys have more physical aggression when influenced by the same gender.<br>-they was no debreifing so ethical guidelines were not sufficiently met.<br><br>Relevance: if a child grows up in a violent household or watches violent entertainment, then they are likely to be aggressive when they are older. </div>]]></description>
