Tags: (Sci fi) (bromance) (mild swearing) (violence/suspense)

Most science fiction novels, to me, are either too realistic or too fantastical.

I can't read something that has NO connection to the real world, but I also can't read something that's too connected, if you get my drift. Project Hail Mary (PHM) is just the perfect sci-fi novel.

Most science fiction relies on some sort of romance, so it was refreshing to get a 'bromance' instead, and the found family concept of this novel was very well-written.

It was realistic in the ways that humanity acted, the main character felt believable, and the science was so well written that I was learning without realising it!

The ending was super bittersweet, but honestly felt so good I almost cried. 10/10 best book ever read.

Rating: 10/10

Tags: (SLOW BURN) (romance) (sci fi) (action adventure) (quest) (enemies to lovers)

Overall, I was excited for this book. I loved SW: Rebels and especially Kanan and Hera's relationship, so when I found out that there was a prequel book, I HAD to read it.

As a romance novel, this book is like eating a brick. It's hard, it's tedious, it's just an overall terrible experience. If you can't read a slow burn, don't read this book. It's worse than a slow burn because after the book is over, it takes another 3 1/2 SEASONS OF A TV SHOW before they finally admit their feelings for each other and kiss.

As a Sci-fi book, it slaps. I enjoyed the world-building and the new ways the plot was written, it didn't exactly feel like a Star Wars adventure, though, but as a regular sci-fi book it was great.

I would recommend this to people who like sci-fi but maybe don't like star wars. Also to Emily Cowles, who doesn't like romance, (if ur reading this, Emily, you'll love it, pls read it.)

Overall rating: 8.5/10

I enjoyed it, a little mature I would say, but not bad.

The second and the third book blended in my brain so I really can't remember much, except about the main character becoming ~a fantastical being~ and hating it for, like, 200 pages.

It's a romance, which I did enjoy, but they're a lot of subplots that sort of ruin the romantic activities. I'd hazard to say The Testing is BETTER than the Hunger Games.

Most dystopian sequels are terrible compared to the OGs, but this one had a good, satisfying ending that made me feel like I had gone on a journey, which is what a book is supposed to do.

The romance wasn't the best, but the characters and high-stakes plot made me grip this book so hard lol.

I originally checked it out online, then put it down, then picked up a physical copy.

I LOVED this book and I wholeheartedly suggest it to my friends, family, and others I talk to.

Rating: 9.9/10

I can only rate the first one, because I didn't read the rest of the series.

This was my first Star Wars book I read, and I probably should have tried an easier one.

This book was written in the 80's, and is the first mention of Coruscant as a planet (except in the book it has mountains and trees lol)

I was excited about the villain, Mara Jade, who seemed cool, and I was even looking forward to seeing the weird anti-force slugs to see what they did.

Boring, way too boring. This was one of the first SW books ever published, and I could barely finish it.

Thrawn is perhaps one of the most well-written villains, to the point that I hate him more than Umbridge and Dilaf COMBINED!! Seeing him in Rebels also confirmed that (Wow, a tv show got an og book character right, shocker.)

Overall, I loved the characters and plot, but I couldn't deal with the tedious cadence of the writing.

Rating: 7.1/10

No complaints there, I was reading it via Kindle, and as you know I really need a physical book to get into the story, but I just didn't connect with the plot.

I feel like many people will enjoy this book, I just wasn't the right person. Thus, I'm not going to rate this book, instead, I'm going to summarize it in hopes someone will appreciate it.

Summary: A rich dude who likes comic con pays a million dollars to have his brain frozen after his death, and literally 10 minutes later he gets run over and dies. Now, several hundred years later, he woke up as a robot (in an Radical-Christian society ) Is told he's going to be sent to space....
