My name is Mr. Loughary and I am a French teacher in Missouri, USA.  Your teacher, Mrs. Marin, has been a good friend and colleague of mine for many years.

 

My students and I are very excited to (finally) start an email exchange with you.  Unfortunately, we are having some technical problems but we will soon fix them!  Don’t worry!

We are located in south west Missouri.  If you look at the map of Missouri on Google Maps, you will notice that many towns and cities have French names thanks to the French explorers.  On the other side of our state, in the south east, a few older people still speak a dialect of French.  It would sound very different to the French you speak, but you would be able to understand.

 

Attached, you will find a photo of me with my family.  My daughter, Allison, is 11 years old and in 5^th grade.  My son, Ben, is 9 years old and in 3^rd grade.  My wife works at the school where our kids attend.

 

I hope that in the next few months, we will all benefit from this exchange.  You may have many questions about life in the United States and my students are curious about life in France too.  Also, we have all heard some stereo-types.  Certainly, you will learn a lot about American English and culture as we share with each other.

I  am going to tell you about my training period .

I worked in Joan of Arc Clinic in Maintenance, there were 12 employees .

I went on my first work placement last January.

It lasted four works, i worked in a Hospital in CHINON.

I started at 8AM and finished at 5PM Everyday and Friday was my day off.

I often worked with my Boss, his name was Frédéric Bodin.

I will present you my training period in Decomatic, a company  in Saint-Maure, I went there by car because that’s far enough. In this training i learnt the name of the new tools and I repaired  engines . I started at 8am and I finished to 5pm all day except on Wednesday because I don’t work this day, it was my day off ! In my training period I worked with my supervisor, Olivier Dreano. What about you, have you ever worked ?

 

I like music ! My favorite group is Casseurs Flowters ! It’s a french group and it is a group of Rap-Aware ! I listen to them... I like the old songs (For exemple: Uranium Fever of Elton Britt) Do you play an instrument ? And what’s your favorite song ?
