One common problem of packaging is they use materials that can't be reused. In my opinion, because of the importance of packaging, the producers want to have cheap packaging materials which can have the same effect (or even better for printing pictures and words) in order to balance the cost. Unfortunately, plastic and paper are the cheapest and the best materials, so this caused air pollution and global warming as a threat to our lives.

This problem effects [target audience] everybody who wants to buy food and stuff. If people kept buying stuff with non-reusable packages, the environment will be deeply harmed.

Aesthetics: it looks interesting, and it is very simple and it uses minimalist materials.

Cost: the package is made from plastic and it is very small, so I can tell the drink and the package is not very expensive.

Costumer: those interesting fruit-shaped drinks can attract young children which have loads of curiosity.

Environment: you can drink the juice anywhere due to the small package.

Safety: if the package is not in good quality, things that you don't want might fall into the juice.

Size: it is not very big, so you can carry it around easily.

Function: the package can hold the juice while it gives the juice a fancy outlook, but it may spill out the juice once it is damaged or the package might explode in hot temperature. Also, it can't be reusable and recyclable. Finally, the package clearly represents the type of juice in the package.

Material: it is made of plastic so it is not good for the environment.

The minimalist and the attracting package is what I want in my package, and I might use them in my design. I will use another kind of material instead of plastic. It is small, so it won't be expensive

Also, shipping is not good for the environment so it have to be reduced.

Goal: We are going to make baked food with a package for the food, and we are going to look at the sources that we made before to help us achieve it. My goal is to bake the product and make a suitable and innovative package that is part of the solution of the problems. 

Summary: In the A column, we looked at big ideas which are about food, packaging and problems like food, packaging and shipping. We researched some sources that we might look at for the problems and we did some experiences for baking food. We also looked at some existing products to gain inspiration and we did the product analysis - ACCESS FM which is to analyze a product. I chose to make oatmeal chocolate chip bread or cookies for my product because it might be delicious and easy to make. 

Possible problems: We might have some concerns about resources - time, ingredients and recipe. We might not be able to create a possible solution for packaging due to the lack of materials or ideas. Also, many people might not care about the environment and they prefer to use plastic package because they are more easily carried. Lastly, my product may not be healthy and delicious.

Function: the food itself can make you feel happy and full, and the package should preserve the food well and made people want to eat (maybe transparent material or pictures on the material).

Firstly, cocoa beans are delivered and checked the quality of the beans.

Secondly, the cocoa beans are processed - cleaned, roasted, debacterised and crushed to make cocoa nibs.

Then, they are ground in the preliminary mill, where the cocoa butter melts. After that, liquid raw cocoa mass runs out of the ball mill. It looks like chocolate, but it is extremely bitter.

Finally, milk and sugar are added to the chocolate to make the it sweeter.
