Many loyalists who came to North America were promised land and money. Many loyalists, almost 20% ended up with no land and no money. They couldn't didn't have anywhere to sleep and many of them died from the harsh weather conditions

Many of the loyalists who were given land ended up with land they couldn't do anything with. They would get land on hills or land next to ancient trees with the strongest roots. The British government would only give out the bad land and the land wasn't even chosen by the loyalists. It was a draw so you could end up with land on the other side of the continent.

Many loyalists were promised land from British landlords for farming a certain part of their land. The thing was the landlords would back out of the deal right when the loyalists had farmed their land

Once Loyalists had arrived, they could begin the process of acquiring land. Individual Loyalists or groups of Loyalists could petition, or request, one or more lots. They would often divide the land they acquired among themselves by lottery.

Sympathy for the Crown was a dangerous sentiment; those who defied the revolutionary forces could find themselves without civil rights, subject to mob violence, or flung into prison. Loyalist property was vandalized and often confiscated.

- Loyalists had many strong reasons for wanting to leave

their land. British North America had many pull factors

that attracted the Loyalists. Since the British government

still had control over British North America, Loyalists

were invited to find safety there. Most Loyalists, especially

those who had fought for the British, were offered free

land, tools, and seeds to grow crops. Britain even provided

transportation for many Loyalists, evacuating large groups

by ships out of places such as the New York harbour.

Of the over 70 000 Loyalists who fled the Thirteen

Colonies, about 50 000 travelled north to British North

America. More than half of these Loyalists went to

Nova Scotia.

Their loyalty to Britain was challenged by the Patriot victors, who harassed and attacked

- The loyalitsts wer harrased in the thirteen colonies so it was best for them to move to british North Amarica where they would be free

Design an infographic that will reflect how the First Nations, Canadiens and existing settlers felt when seeing so many Loyalists move into their communities.
The First Nations felt like they had to stay strong and not lose complete control over their land. The other tribes had better weapons and materials so they had to make alliances with them to get the better resources. All the incoming loyalists lead to problems like the Plains of Abraham war. The populations of the loyalist continued to grow to the point that the British and French started taking first nation land.

The incoming loyalists who moved to Quebec didnt speak french like most of the canadiens did and didnt follow the same rules/ Quebec act of 1774. As more Canadiens came tensions began to grow with the Canadiens and the incoming loyalists. Loyalist didnt like the way they had to rent out homes they wanted to have there own homes. They started to build there own churchs and schools desobeying the french law. The Canadiens must have felt like they had to kick the new settlers out of there land.
