Well, what and why did I learn this today:
An inspiring context when it comes to location and dynamics in the group made it possible for me to reflect on the items culture and internationalisation in many new perspectives. It's easy to take the definitions of those two often used terms for granted and I appreciated to be challenged in my way of interpreting them.
As I'm an international and global citizen it was interesting to listen to the information that Rita gave us today. Giving relations to sociologists and philosophers put everything in a perspective!

Učenje počinje tamo gdje je učitelj zajedno s učenicima. Poticajno okruženje daje i bolje rezultate. Tako je bilo i danas. Naučila sam zanimljive stvari o povijesti ovog otoka. Danas smo polako počeli otvarati svoj um i učiti kako učiti o toj temi.

Learning begins where the teacher is with the students. The supportive environment also produces better results. This is how it is today. I learned interesting things about the history of this island. The explanation and meaning of the word culture was interesting to me. Taking care of something. National culture and identity are not erased if we get to know and learn new things from other cultures, but it is only enriched and upgraded. EU preferences are communion and cooperation, open minded people ready to embrace diversity. Today we are slowly starting to open our minds and learn how to learn on the subject.

Never judge someone by the way he looks or a book by the way it's covered - Stephen Cosgrove

The Very first Day started exciting for me. As not always you run your classes outdoor on the beach. Today I have learnt a lot about my New Colleagues. What is more, I think I received the best lesson not from the theories but of the way how people are attentive listeners and fully open to what others say and what is important to them. I really enjoyed extra questions that other participants asked to make sure they understood well what others had in mind. This was a wonderfull lesson of respect to one's personal identity. Thank you all, Agnieszka

Identity is the sense of belonging - from today's classes.
I enjoyed today a lot. First of all, The unique scenery, second amazing Woman bringing and sharing their own various and personal cultures. Those two together made my today's experience exceptional. The meeting place on the beach became for me the Meeting Place written with big M and P. I could also learn how simple gestures such as a smile and saying hello can break ices and make you feel comfortable in the new situation you are facing. Joanna

I really enjoyed the school at the beach today. I am glad I met such adventurous and open-minded teachers. It was a great experience we could share our values and attitudes. I also learned about the island of Guadeloupe, its roots, its nature, its people. My quote today would be: If you socialize with other people and their cultures you find out more about your identity and you value it much more. Małgosia
