In the mid 1800's, the russians became the next major group to conquer Central Asia. Even though the russians bulit railroads and expanded oil & cotton products, a lot of people resent their rule. A while after the russian revoltion in 1917, the new Soiver goverment wanted to weaken resistance to it's rule.

Central asians made a living by raising horses, cattle, and many onter living things. The nomads move their herds around from one pasture to another. Most people in central asia live in more permernat settlements, but many other people still live as nomads and trave from place to place with ther cattle.
