an economic impact is an impact to do with money for example destroyed cities or towns due to flooding.

Someone else please explain how cities or towns flooding is economic.....
if a town floods it becomes an economic impact because other cities or towns need to use money and resources to help the town rebuild the community.

Anyone want to disagree or challenge this?
shops and other business in the area would get flooded/damaged so they would have to find the money to repair their business.

What is an environmental impact?

a environmental impact is where something affects the environment

for example...
when people are walking through the countryside and drop some litter that can affect the wildlife in the environment and could cause serous injury or death.

Can we give an example that relates to natural hazards?
a natural hazard is something without the actions of people for example 2010 Iceland volcanic eruption was a environmental impact because its natural - the gas, ash and dust released would have been an environmental impact. In addition to the flooding that occurred as glacial melt waters were created.

. another natural hazard would be rising sea levels that will destroy low lying farmland but this will also link into economic because the farmers will lose money though dying crops.

A volcanic eruption releases over 80 tonnes of ash and dust over fertile farming land- This would be economic and environmental as the farmland is destroyed farmers would lose money. Damaging the local communities. However the environment would also be destroyed as the ash and dust would damage terrain and wildlife.

Good explanation there.... is the ash and dust always negative? no because ash is good for the ground. it is pretty much a natural fertilizer. over time it will break down into the ground making it more and more fertile

The climate has changed massively, it is much higher than it used to be because of the greenhouse effect. More people are using cars and vehicles which pollutes the atmosphere and warms it at the same time. Over a long period of time the average temperature becomes warmer. The weather is also affected by climate change, so it snows less than in the past. -AC

Some places it snows more frequently than in the past as the climate changes.
