Government agencies, universities and companies in Singapore have been targets
of cyberattacks in recent years. In February, there was a cyberattack on the
Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) where the personal details of 850 national
servicemen and personnel were leaked. A Cyber Security Agency of Singapore
spokesman, Ms Wee said, "As a commercial hub with high interconnectivity,
Singapore is undoubtedly an attractive target for cyber criminals."

Ms Wee advised Singapore residents to be vigilant about cyber security and not assume that cyberattacks happen only to large organisations. "Individuals do need to be mindful with e-mail attachments and links they open, apps they download and Wi- Fi hotspots they connect to", she said.

I disagree that the Singapore government is well prepared against possible cyber attack because source B suggest that even though we have preventive measures and protective measures in Singapore we are still prone to cyber attacks. In source B it states that "In February, there was a cyber attack on the ministry of defence (MINDEF) where the personal details of 850 national servicemen and personnel were leaked." This means that the cyber security measures are still not up to standard to prevent this cyber attacks from happening and if Singapore is well prepared this attacks will not occur. Hence, I disagree that Singapore is well prepared for cyber attacks.

Source B states that "In February, there was a cyber attack on the Ministry Of Defence (MINDEF) where the personal details of 858 national servicemen and personnel were leaked". Therefore, i disagree that Sg is prepared for possible Cyber Attacks.

Aiman. I disagree with the statement that “The Singapore government is well prepared against possible cyberattacks” as one of the major sector in Singapore got impacted negatively by a cyberattack which led to valuable information being leaked. In source B, “ In February, there was a cyber attack, on the Ministry Of Defence(MINDEF) where the personal details of 850 national servicemen and personnel were leaked “ . This tells me that the Singapore government is not well prepared against possible cyberattacks due to the fact the Singapore government was not able to wend off the cyberattacks. Should the government be prepared, any cyberattacks would be able to be prevented, most importantly in this case the personal information would not have been spread.
