         <description><![CDATA[<div>ES is three years old. ES is a female and the oldest of three children. She lives in home with mother and father and her younger sister and younger brother. They are twins, ES refers to them as "my babies." She is a very sociable child and is always starting conversation with her peers and even her teachers. But what may be a difference between her and other children would be her ability to play alone. At times she will sneak away to play or even just sit by herself. She enjoys being outdoors, and using her imagination. She is always the first one there any time there is anything to do with reading, art, or music. She has strong opinions and seems to want to ensure that she is heard.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In this sample, which is one of the very first running records I did while observing ES, I now know that it was a huge glimpse into her personality. This shows that she not only plays with others, but is okay with solitary play. She has a huge imagination and uses the world around her to make up her own stories.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In this photo taken in lab #3 ES can be seen drawing. Here is just one example of ES finding any opportunity to engage in art activities! Here she had seen me writing notes on papers that I had on my clipboard. She immediately assumed I was drawing. She asked me to draw a monkey and I then encouraged her to make a monkey as well. Since this day she has asked to draw for me every time and often has pictures that she has colored for me ready to hand to me when I come in. This showed me her avid interest in the visual arts and was the true inspiration for my lab #6 pictured below.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The letter of the week this week was A. Each of the children had to bring in something that started with A for show and tell. ES is photographed here pointing at the A and was telling her teacher what the letter was and what she brought in which was a doll from frozen named Anna. Through this interaction it had shown her literacy skills of print awareness and letter recognition.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Within this photo taken for lab four was of ES making a rectangle. Inside she was drawing dots and when asked why she was doing this she said they were animals. She told her teacher all about how her mom and her dad took her and her siblings to the farm. She mentioned that they picked out a pumpkin and got to take it home. This showed me here ability to tell a story/recall events with only a picture. This shows development of her narrative skills.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In this photo as you can see ES is holding magnatiles against her ears. What was not photographed is the children across from her doing the same thing. The three of them were pretending to be on a phone call with each other, and referring to the song they listened to that day which is none other than five little monkeys. ES was pretending to be the doctor while the other children were the mother and the monkey. In the photo below, ES is holding a lego piece. She used this as a hair dryer and pretended she was the hair stylist. ES had multiple other girls sit as she pretended to do their hair. Both of these interactions were able to show that she could pretend to be someone/something else as well as re-enact a story.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Taken from an anecdotal record taken in lab four of class ES was observed here talking to her teacher about their eye colors. She noticed that her teachers eyes were a different color than her own. She asked her teacher what color her eyes where and was able to distinguish herself from her teacher.</div>]]></description>
