Most scientists believe, however, that the birds we see around us today are the direct descendants of theropod dinosaurs, and they therefore technically consider birds to be dinosaurs. Birds?? Wow who would have thought. But what caused them to be extinct was a 6 mile long astroid that struck the earth! </div>]]></description>
