2. I think it is interesting that people are willing to go so far just to have freedom and safety. I also think it is interesting that governments around the world arent willing to help these people.

I found out that refugees travelled to different countries in search for better lives but were sometimes turned away by the countries they tried to immigrate to.
2. The deserted raft made me interested because that was one of his inspirations for writing the book. I also found the fact that he has kept a journal for writing story ideas for a long time interesting.
