The first thing the guide told us was a legend of Helen and the legend of the safron risotto. It was a little hard to understand the whole story but, most of it was simple, so I could understand it easily.

The dragon and the Visconti family

The guide told us about the legend of the dragon, the lake Gerundo, the hero who killed the dragon and the Visconti family.
The teacher some days before the visit to Milan, explained a little the topics, we were going to discuss that day so it was really easy to understand it, and I liked it a lot!

The Scala Theater and the Cafè Cova

Here the guide told us that, the Scala Theatre is not only known for its amazing beautiful "display" , but also because many famous musicians performed there.
On the right of the building ,there is a shop that once was Cafè Cova, where Giuseppe Verdi used to go to buy the famous and delicious Panettone.
This topic was a little complicated but, just like the first legend that the guide told us, I understood almost everything.

Here we were told by the guide an interesting historical event about the 5 days of Milan, and the rebellion of the citizens.
When we entered the castle we were told about the legend of the panettone and of the ingredients stolen by Tony. At the primary school we read that story, so it was really really simple for me to understand...

I personally loved everything of it.
We talked about buildings and legends, then I have to say I enjoyed a lot the story the panettone of Tony and the legend of Saint Helen and the saffron risotto.
It was a nice experience. I liked a lot the fact that while we were walking I could talk with my friends and especially my old friends of the primary school and it was a long time I didn't have the hance to meet and talk...I liked also the fact that the guide was really nice and tried hard to let me and my friends understand what was he was talking about.

The Legend says that Mastro Valerio while working the windows of the Cathedral was helped by an assistant called Zafferano, because he put saffron in his color mixtures and by mistake he also put it in risotto. Mastro Valerio found it delicious.

Giuseppe Verdi is one the most famous Italian composers and his career began at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. It is cosidered one of the most important theaters in the world.
The Cova Cafè was located next to the alla Scala theater in Via Verdi. Now there is Fendi fashion store.

The Duomo of Milan is a Gothic Cathedral with marble interiors and elevators that can take people up to the roof for views of the city from above. Once Upon a Time,in a Land far away, there was a young prince who lived in a Castle. Milano too has its own Fairy tale. The Sforza Castle is one of the largest in Europe. Throughout history, the building has played many roles: defensive fortress , ducal residence and military barracks. Nowadays it hosts Milano's municipal museums, but the Castle grounds are fascinating with large courtyards, massive walls , the moat, towers and the green Parco Sempione.

When we were near the Castello Sforzesco I the guide told us about the story of the Cotoletta Milanese which is my favourite food. This food is bound to the Austrian domination in Milan.

I liked this trip with my school friends because when I was at the Primary school we couldn't do any trips because of the pandemic. I enjoyed to stay all the morning in Milan and take pictures

The Duomo of Milan is the second largest Cathedral in Italy (after San Pietro in Vatican) During its construction, the Duke of Milan Gian Galeazzo Visconti, took control of the works and the Cathedral was made of pink white marble, instead of bricks as originally decided.
The first architect supervising works was Simone d'Orsenigo.
