However, one of my favorite teachers was my 10th grade English teacher. She was humorous, energetic, passionate, and relatable. Since she was also a drama teacher, she would have us act out scenes from most of the books we read for class, such as The Canterbury Tales (and allowed us to read some of the more risque ones:)). I distinctly remember two film assignments she had our class do for The Great Gatsby and The Crucible, which we were able partner with students from her other classes to create parodies of the books. I still have the CDs and cringe every time we get together a rewatch them. Although she left our school at the end of the year, she left us a letter telling us how our class reinvigorated her passion for teaching.
