(2017 - 18) What happened before the obstacle?

Things in my country weren't well (and they aren't now). We did not have electricity service for 8 hours. One day, we did not have electricity for 5 days, that was crazy. The situation in my country gave us the perfect excuse to leave it and come to the US. We could not find food. We had to make lines for up to 6 hours for just a simple thing as sugar or flour. if you went to a bakery or supermarket, you wouldn't find bread or milk. We wanted to escape from Venezuela, it's like hell.

(2019) What did we do to confront the challenge?

Beginning the year, we saw that things wouldn't get better at that point, so we decide to get out of there. We bought our tickets to come here on February, but we wanted to move on May. So did we, and here's the real problem: starting over from zero (0).

After living my entire life in my home country and possessing what belonged to us, we came here to start a new life. The real problem is that we had nothing to live in/with. No beds. No money. Although those were tough times, we knew that we'd better. But, my parents had to find a job to maintain my sister and me. They had to pay debts, find schools, everything. So, that was accomplished in a few months.

(2019 - Present) What happened after the obstacle? What did you do to overcome the obstacle? What characteristics do you want the reader to know about you?

Well, I think that what happened after is history. To be honest, after we stabilized and find a house to live "for a few years", we started to save money to prevent having problems with the rent or debts.

FIRST SONG

This song in particular is my favorite, but I don't share it because it is in Spanish and sometimes people do not like my religious part. But I don't care, I'm not afraid of telling that I'm Christian and believe in God. So, this song called "Inagotable" (which means "inexhaustible") really gave me strength to overcome that challenge. And that is because the lyrics says (translated to English): "give me to drink of your love, the source of all power, the water that satisfies my being". And I see that part of the song as: He's everything for every human being. It's hard to explain what I feel or how I relate to that song, but it is amazing to know that it helped to overcome everything I've come through.

SECOND SONG

I use to listen to in Spanish version, but it English is easier to understand (it's slower than the other version). To summarize how this song helped me, I think that it happened because when I'm not strong enough to overcome something, I think that Jesus died for us for a reason and that he did it to give us the life we're living now. So, every battle is not too hard to overcome it, and that is what I think the song is about: giving the glory, respect and your heart to God. He came from dead, he did overcome it and won the battle, so why we can't? If we trust that we can, trust me, you already are free of that challenge. Faith comes by hearing, and nothing is better than listening what gives us hope to keep doing in life. :)
