Southern Disenfranchisement is seen in the image above. Southern disenfranchisement happened when laws prohibiting African Americans and the poor from voting were enacted. The wolves in this case would be the state governments like Mississippi, Arkansas, Florida, and Tennessee, which are enacting these laws and find loop holes to prevent African American and poor people to vote.

The sheep in this case are African Americans and the poor who were striped their right to vote.

The sheepdogs would be those who'd were advocates for the poor and African Americans

Tulsa Massacre

The Tulsa Massacre occurred when a black adolescent boy was accused of sexually abusing a white adolescent girl. The youngster went into the Sheriffs office, where he was shielded from an angry mob of white males. In this scenario, the sheep is a young black adolescent male. The sheepdog would be the Sheriff guarding him against the the angry mob. The wolves who wish to hurt the boy would be the mob of angry white men. Then, unfortunately, the entire town became the sheep, with many people murdered, houses burned down, and numerous black-owned businesses destroyed.

The mother and daughter, who are easily identified as the sheep in this instance, also stand in for other families and salves that are being put up for auction. The males in the audience who are bidding or buying them would be the wolves. The sheepdogs can represent a mother defending her young child.
