Honestly speaking, at first I was kinda sceptical about the whole usrah thing as I have a lot of work to do that I need to complete. But as I attend more and more of these usrah sessions, I began to realised the importance of usrah.

I notice that my knowledge of Islam is very shallow, there is a lot of things that I don't know of or never heard of it. I feel ashamed for assuming that usrah is a waste of time when usrah help me to understand Islam a whole lot more. This way, I'm in a right track to be better Muslim in the future.

Another thing is that usrah help me to connect and communicates with my usrah members a lot better. My usrah members came from a lot of different backgrounds, some came from a renowned tahfiz, some came from a top boarding schools, and some came from a not so well-known secondary schools. By communicating with them, I started to become more open-minded about the importance of getting to know different perspectives in their life to gain empathy

Solat

Solat is a foundation to our religion and is serve as a reminder to serve to our god. Bedside that, with solat we can show our fear to the god and distinguished us from the kafir because solat only performed by the muslim. Lastly, the hikmah we can get is we can always remember to our god and not doing that will harm ourselves.

Fasting

Our god required us to do a fasting especially in month of ramadan because it's give a huge benefit to the muslim is to teach us how god is always watching us whatever we are doing and also teach us about discipline to not to eat when the sun is out. Additionally, with fasting it also make the influence of satan become weakening to influence us from doing anything that will make god mad at us. Last but not least, fasting also is a one way to foster acts of worship.

Zakat

In our religion, some of our wealth there is portions to another people because our wealth is not completely for us, also name as a zakat.

Preparation of Salah with Khusyu'

Solat

Solat is one of the pillars of religion and is a worship that distinguishes between Muslims and non-believers. Before praying, we must know the obligatory conditions for prayer, among them is Islam and being rational, while among the valid conditions for prayer is covering the aurat, knowing how to pray and being pure from small and large hadas. In addition, there are many pillars of prayer including intention, order and final tahiyyat. Next, Muslims need to know about things that invalidate prayer such as talking, changing intentions and large movements so that our prayers are accepted by God and also need to do things that are makruh in prayer such as looking up or praying in a sleepy state so that we are prepared for our prayers. Finally, things that are sunnah in prayer such as looking at the place of prostration and khusyu' so that God accepts our prayers, and there are also sunnahs of Ab'adh and Hai'ah such as standing during qunut and reciting the qunut prayer during the second rakat of the morning prayer if left by accident then we can perform sahwi prostration.

Wudhuk

Wudhuk, or ablution, is an important matter because without ablution, our prayers are invalid or not accepted by Allah. Wudhuk has pillars such as intention, washing the face and order. In addition, there are also valid conditions for ablution in order for our ablution to be valid in the eyes of God such as Islam, mumamyiz and using absolute water. In addition, there are things that we need to avoid so that our ablutions are not invalidated, such as losing our senses and sleeping irregularly.

Finally, the sunnah thing in ablution is to wash more than 2 times and not more than 3 times as well as read basmalah and wash hands.

Tayammum

Tayammun is an alternative to ablution when there is no real or syara water available. Among the pillars of tayammun is the intention, to wipe the dust on the face and both hands with two claps on the dust and order.

Khusyu'

Khyusu is an important thing in prayer because it determines the quality of our prayer whether it is accepted or rejected by Allah and also benefits from the prayer itself. Khusyuk means focus in prayer and the rule is circumcision and not a pillar in prayer. Among the things that prevent khusyu is was was and thinking about things outside of prayer. Finally, the way to get khusyu in prayer is to pray in congregation, pray at the beginning of the time and dress in a perfumed way. Thank you so much

Virtue found in Salah with Khusyu'

Khusyu'

Khusu' is important for us when we pray and its meaning is the presence of heart and mind in front of Allah SWT. There are several reasons why khusu is important, such as strengthening the relationship with Allah, forming morals and preventing evil. Khusu makes us submissive and obedient because we obey God and do not ignore God's commands that will cause God's wrath. Another is humility where we realize our dependence on God and remove pride and arrogance from ourselves. Finally, khusu has an impact on us such as strengthening faith and improving prayer before God, it also helps us control our behavior and self-control to become better Muslims.
