The festival of fun and chaos occurs in the region of Navarra, the town of Irunea/Pamplona. It has become world renowned for how dangerous this is.

The most famous and well-known 'Running of the Bulls' is in Pamplona, Spain. But this is not the only location where it is celebrated. Other places include villages in Spain and Portugal, and in some smaller cities in Southern France.

The run starts with a chant to Saint Fermin - "A San Fermin pedimos, per ser nuestro patron, nos guie en el encierro dandonos su bendicion". They finish by shouting "Viva San Fermin!". - which translates in english to - "We ask Saint Fermin, being our patron saint, to guide us in the bull run and give us his blessing. Long live Saint Fermin!".

He was born in 272 AD in Pamplona, Spain and died in 303 AD in Amiens, France.
Fermin has said to be the son of a roman of senatorial rank in the third century.
He was ordained as a priest and was named first bishop of Pamplona. 
Saint Fermin was said to have been beheaded while preaching his religion, although many in Pamplona believe he met his death by being dragged through the streets with bulls chasing after him, hence the tradition.
