         <description><![CDATA[<div>Laceration: Occur when a blunt force is delivered over a sharp bone or a bone that is poorly padded, giving a wound the appearance of a jagged-edge cavity.&nbsp;<br>Care: Apply direct pressure to the wound to try to stop the bleeding. Elevate wound if possible. If its a deep laceration go to the ER and get stitches. Puncture wounds often appear to be on the surface, but may extend into the deeper tissue layers.&nbsp;<br>Direct penetration of tissues can introduce the tetanus bacillus into the bloodstream, possibly making the athlete a victim of lockjaw<br>Care:&nbsp;<br>-Always wash hands before dealing with an injury.&nbsp;<br>-If there is something stuck inside your skin you should NOT pull it out. Leave it be and go to the hospital.&nbsp;<br>-At the hospital they will determine if stitches are needed. <br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Skin is torn from the body<br>Associated with major bleeding<br>To reattach the torn tissue, the avulsed tissue should be placed on moist gauze, preferably saturated with saline solution<br>Should be taken along with the athlete to the hospital for reattachment<br>Care: Keep wound clean and dry for 24-48 hours&nbsp;<br>If dressing is used change it when it gets wet or dirty.<br>If stitches are used check the wound everyday.<br><br></div>]]></description>
