         <description><![CDATA[<div>This "Separate but Equal" case happened in 1954 when a black female's father decided to take a stand and sue the board of education for not letting his daughter go to an all white school that was closer to their home. When this case was over great things happened for people of color.  The Plessy v Ferguson case was overturned and the court made it to where segregated schools were "Unconstitutional".</div>]]></description>

         <title>Greensboro Sit-in</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>this began in February 5, 1960. this Greensboro four, who were four black college students, sat in an all white lunch counter called Woolworth's and refused to leave. By Feb. 5th 300 other students joined in the sit ins and eventually they desegregated the lunch counter. and other students who have done it in other facilities in other states were able to do the same. </div>]]></description>
