It brings together some of my favorite things like art, nature, and religion. I love the night sky especially when it has stars. Van Gogh believed you would die and become a star when you go to heaven. Although I don't believe I would become a star, I do believe in heaven. Reaching heaven is my main goal in life. I like this art because it shows the last meal of death row inmates. Food is something we all love, but it is interesting to see what someone would pick as their last meal alive. I would not know what I would want my last meal to be. I'm pretty sure I would choose some Ice cream and candy for dessert, so I identify with some of these inmates. I would probably want some home cooked meals because others might not cook it how I want it. After death I believe in judgement day from the Christian bible. Both stories are similar which I find interesting. All religions have some similarities. Just their religion, in my religion after death Jesus will decide whether we lived a godly life. After his decision we will either be casted into hell or heaven. In their religion they have to live a morally good life. Their heart has to weigh less than a feather or they get eaten by a god. Otherwise they get to live happy in a version of heaven. This is a major part of their lives as well. I like how this piece is not scary. It raises hope that Hunefer made it to the afterlife.
