My name is Amy. I am enrolled in the post-baccalaureate program for elementary K-8. Previously, I taught drama K-8th grade in Chicago and preschool and fourth grade at private and charter schools in Arizona. I have wanted to obtain my teacher certification for sometime. I continue to learn so much from these courses. I'm an online student and moved back to my home state of Michigan a couple of years ago. Since then I spent the last year working as a special education aide. I enjoyed the kids and learned so much about various learning disabilities. My husband is a Spanish teacher in MI and used to teach for Mesa Schools in AZ. I have a nine year old daughter in the fourth grade who loves to sing and a big fat red tabby cat named Carlos from Arizona...The cat went from eating lizards to mice...although I cannot say he's too happy about all the snow we get here!
