Sock hops helped revolutionize fashion, music, and events. Teens loved going to sock hops and felt rebellious dancing without shoes on (it was a rule to take shoes off though because of the gym floor)

The Beats generation was a group of writers and poets who

stuff based off their view of literature and culture.

Some people rebelled against conformity because it made

the less fortunate stand out and that's obviously a rude thing

to do.

style and uniform, rather that for luxury at this point.

The access to such cars lead to the popularity of

drive-ins and lead to the fun that is called Drag Racing.

Also, the 1950's were the heart of Muscle Car history

there was no economic depression. There were more

than 50 million babies produced by the end of the 50s in

America. This has affected political and social landscapes

to research, and such. With lots of new "must have" things

out, many advertisements supported and made people want

to get all the newest things, therefore creating competitions to

the best and that leading to everyone being pretty much the same.

-There was a lot of pressure to conform.
