This makes sense to me because I enjoy doing things for others. I am more likely to do something for someone else than myself. When there is something that I don't want to do I tend to find myself thinking, what would this person think of me if I don't do it. That never fails to give me the motivation to do it.

I believe that this is good for group work because it keeps me motivated to stay on top of my work and get it done because I do not want to disappoint my team and I also don't want them to be mad or frustrated.

I would say on a scale of 1-5 I would say I am a 3. I can be very vocal in some aspects, but I would say I'm overall on the quite side unless you get to know me. I am able to be more volca when I need to be in team settings.

As someone who would say they are a 3 I think one thing that influences how vocal i am is the people around me. If I am in a group with very vocal people I am way less likely to be vocal. On the other hand if I am in a group where everyone is on the quieter side I am the type of person who will step in and make conversation. That is because I feel like when I know everyone is nervous I feel more confident because they also don't know, where when everyone is very vocal and confident I feel less confident and more self conscious about what I am saying and if it is right.

I would say that I am about a 4. In highschool I was captain of my water polo team, and in sports I feel like I've always leaned towards that leadership role. I tend to lean towards a 4 or 5 when it's more active like building, puzzles or sports for that leadership role because those are the things I know well. When it comes to academics I do lean towards the 2 to 3 side because I do struggle with spelling and reading which makes me more hesitant to take that leadership role.

Getting Work Done

Getting work done in a team can be hard but what makes it easier is having a neat thought out plan. When making the plan, make sure it is even. Something that helps is getting people to do what they are good at, they are more likely to complete the task and do a better job.

Early Bird or Night Owl

I am definitely an early bird. I wake up between 5 and 6 every morning. I also can be a night owl I do most of my school work at night.

Communicating

I am normally very fast at responding to text unless I don't know the answer. Then I will wait to respond till I have a good response.

I really like working in groups but I do have a tendency to get overwhelmed and start micromanage which I don't mean to but when I see something that is a little off I always want to fix it.

Diversity

I think having diversity in groups is very important for success. When you have a very divervies group it gives more options and you have more background all giving their opinion.

Being Assertive

My club water polo coach would always say to be assertive and which is one of the biggest lessons I have learned from him. If you want something done you have to be the one to do it, and in group work if someone isn't doing their work you can be the one to remind them.

Communication

Communion I would say is the most important thing. Without communicating nothing would be able to get done. It is important to be able to talk about responsibilities and deadlines.

Comment to Communication: I absolutely agree! I know it's in the name of the class, but communication is something people can oddly forget, not completely, but in the way of giving consistent updates on work.

Comment on Getting Work Done: Totally! Having a well-thought-out plan is super important, and being able to assign the right person to the right sub-goals that fit thier strengths can really make work easier and more productive.

Comment on Things I Need: I saw you say this earlier too and I feel like we agree with the need for structure being very important. I am the same way, I need structure in a group setting in order to do well. I think groups work better overall when they have a good structure as well, so hopefully we can figure out something that works.
