When Emily and Frank were forced to perform the show Bug Juice, they didn't want to do it because they were embarrassed and thought that they would mess up. But, after they performed the show, they realized that they weren't so bad after all.

Whenever Emily is with Sloane, she feels brave to do things she wouldn't do by herself. I can relate to this because when I'm with my friends, I don't care if I embarrass myself or don't do something right. Lara Jean is  a shy and quiet kind of girl and I'm an outgoing and loud kind of girl. It was cool to see the perspective of someone who wasn't like me. For example, even when Lara Jean has something she needs and wants to say, she has trouble actually saying it. For me, I say what I want to say even though there are obstacles in my way.
