Even, just before he died, he said to his wife; "Now listen, when I die, I want you to take all my money and place it in the casket with me. I wanna take my money to the afterlife." So he asked his wife to promise him with all her heart that when he died, she would put all the money in the casket with him.

Well, one day, he really died. Then he was stretched out in the casket. The wife was sitting there in black clothes next to her closest friend. When they finished the ceremony, just before the undertakers got ready to close the casket, the wife said "Wait just a minute!"

She had a box in her hands. She came over with the box and placed it in the casket. After that the undertakers locked the casket down and rolled it away. Not long after that, her friend said, "I hope you were not crazy enough to put all that money in the casket."

The wife turned to her friend and replied; "Yes, because I have promised." Then she continued; "I can't lie. I promised him that I was going to put that money in that casket with him." Not long after that, Abu’s father pass away. Abunawas was so sad and confused. He was sad because he lost his father. He was confused because he did not want to replace his father’s position, but he had not had any good reason to refuse it yet.

One day he saw children playing with hobby-horses made of the midrib of banana leaf. He made one and joined them. They ran around happily. Finally, they went to the palace with their hobby-horses. Some ministers saw Abunawas among the children. They thought that Abu was mad for hid father had just died. They reported this to the king.

The king did not believe them, ao he called A bu to come to the palace. When Abu came at the gate of the palace, a guard stopped him. “Hey, listen,” said the guard. “I’ll let you in if you promise me something.”

Promise you what?” Abu asked.

“Promise to give me half of anything that the king will give you

“Ok, no problem,” said Abu. The guard let him pass the gate into the palace.

When Abu was in front of the king, he bowed but did not say anything. The king asked him.

“Abu, will you be a judge like your father?”

Abu did not answer. The king became impatient and said loudly.

“Hey, Abu! Do you hear me?”

Abunawas did not say a word but began dancing. The king was then very angry and thought that Abu was crazy. He asked one of his guard to beat Abu with a rattan stick twenty times. Abu was in pain but he tried not to cry or say a word.

“Now, go away,” said the king. Abu left the palace and began to beat the guard ten times. He then left him for home.

The guard reported this to the king. The king was angry and ordered Abu to come to the palace again.

“why did you beat this guard?” asked the king.

Calmly Abu answered, “Yesterday, before I passed the gate he stopped me and made me to promise something.”

“What did he want you to promise?”

“He wanted me to give him half of anything that Your Majesty would give me. And yesterday you gave me twenty beats on my back. So I gave him share, ten beats on his back. It’s fair, isn’t it?”

Meanwhile, if we cast asside that animals, we can see some elephant like in the circus. With comfortable and also complete amenities as a pool, restaurant, fountain, garden and so on. We can surround the entire zoo using a small train. Exhausted after walking around, eventually we felt hungry and stopped to eat at a restaurant. As a good family should we stay together, and therefore I think to seek out and took my father and my grandmother to came and join us eating.

But after already walking and seeking, I forgot to ask the location of the tree where the father and grandma sat. The trees in this zoo all look the same in my eyes. But I'm still trying to find them. accidentally I did not bring my glasses, I finally found a big mahogany tree and sitting underneath two people wearing yellow shirts. I thought it was definitely my father and grandma. I called them so hard like scream, but they are silent as not to hear. Because tired of shouting, finally I approached them, I pulled up and say to my father "Daddy, I been calling continuously until exhausted, what things dad doing here?". Fox and A Cat

One day, a cat and a fox were having a conversation. The fox, who was a conceited creature, boasted how clever she was. “Why, I know at least a hundred tricks to get away from our mutual enemies, the dogs,” she said.

“I know only one trick to get away from dogs,” said the cat. “You should teach me some of yours!”.

“Well, maybe someday, when I have the time, I may teach you a few of the simpler ones”, replied the fox airily.

Just then they heard the barking of a pack of dogs in the distance. The barking grew louder and louder – the dogs were coming in their direction! At once the cat ran to the nearest tree and climbed into its branches, well out of reach of any dog. “This is the trick I told you about, the only one I know”, said the cat. “Which one of your hundred tricks are you going to use?”.

The fox sat silently under the tree, wondering which trick she should use. Before she could make up her mind, the dogs arrived. They fell upon the fox and tore her to pieces.

Moral: A single plan that works is better than a hundred doubtful plans.

Once upon a time, there were two close friends who were walking through the forest together. They knew that anything dangerous can happen any time in the forest. So they promised each other that they would always be together in any case of danger.

Suddenly, they saw a large bear getting closer toward them. One of them climbed a nearby tree at once. But unfortunately the other one did not know how to climb up the tree. So being led by his common sense, he lay down on the ground breathless and pretended to be a dead man.

The bear came near the one who was lying on the ground. It smelt in his ears, and slowly left the place because the bears do not want to touch the dead creatures. After that, the friend on the tree came down and asked his friend that was on the ground, “Friend, what did the bear whisper into your ears?” The other friend replied, “Just now the bear advised me not to believe a false friend”.

The Fox and The Grapes

One afternoon there was a fox that was walking through the forest and spotted a bunch of grapes hanging from over a lofty branch. “Just the thing to quench my thirst,” quoted the fox. Taking a few steps backward, the fox jumped but unfortunately he missed the hanging grapes. Again the fox took a few paces backward, ran, and tried to reach them but he still failed.

Finally, giving up, the fox turned up his nose and said, “They’re probably sour anyway,” and proceeded to walk away.

Moral Value: it’s easy to despise what you cannot have.

The employee remained saying they did not sell the ticket.

The traveler was becoming angry. “If the ticket does not run out, why do not you sell it?” snapped the travelers. The king wanted to test Abu Nawas’ smartness. So he invited Abu Nawas to the palace. “You want me, your Majesty?” greeted Abu Nawas. “Yes, you have fooled me three times and that’s too much. I want you to leave the country. Otherwise you will have to go to jail” said the king. “If that is what you want, I will do what you said” said Abu Nawas sadly. Then “Remember, from tomorrow you may not step on the ground of this country anymore” the king said seriously. Then Abu nawas left the king palace sadly.
The following morning the king ordered his two guards to go to Abu Nawas’ house. The guards were very surprised found Abu Nawas still in his house. He had not left the country yet. Instead leaving the country, Abu Nawas was swimming in small pool in front of his house. “Hey Abu Nawas, why haven’t you left this country yet? The king ordered you not to step on the ground of this country anymore, didn’t he?” said the guards. “Sure he did” answered Abu Nawas calmly. “But look at me! Do I step on the ground of this country? No, I do not step on the ground. I am swimming on the water” continued Abu Nawas.
The guards were not able to argue with Abu Nawas so they left Abu Nawas’ house and went back to the palace. The guards reported what they had seen to the king. The king was curious on Abu Nawas’ excuse not to leave the country. Therefore the king ordered his guard to call Abu Nawas to come to the palace.
Abu Nawas came to the palace on stilts. The king wondered and said “Abu, I will surely punish you because you haven’t done what I have said. You have not left this country”. The King continued “And now, look at you. You walk on stilts like a child. Are you crazy? The king pretended to be furious.
“I remember exactly what you said, Your Majesty” Abu Nawas answered calmly. “This morning I took a bath in the small pool in my house so that I had not to step on the ground. And since yesterday, I have been walking on this stilts. So you see, Your Majesty, I do not step on the ground of this country”. The king was not able to say anything.

One of the famous best selling books is HABIBIE AND AINUN. This story comes from Indonesia. Habibie was the former President of Indonesia after the resignation of Soeharto (Indonesian's President). He wrote a book, its title Habibie-Ainun and in his book he explained how hard the time he passed on with his beloved wife, Ainun. The very touching thing here was a tough struggling of Habibie in proving and showing his love to his lovely wife, can be read in his book when he was in airplane to go to German and at that time his wife asking about the reason why the planes vibrate and Habibie tried to convince his wife everything will be fine, but a promised he made to himself is one day he will make an airplane for Ainun. As years goes by so quickly in a future he made an airplane "N250", Its called "Gatot Kaca" his promise to Ainun becoming a reality. The greatness of the great in Habibie is Ainun. Habibie loves Ainun with all his heart and Ainun as well. They both is the representative of love that is not about physical attractiveness or a perfect physical performance but is a genuine thing within human being, such as a love of mum to her child, a love of sky to earth, a love of sun to universe and a love of moon to the lightness. A small attention, a nice surprised, a lovely greeting, a tender hug, a softly called, a loving embrace, a tender smile, a meaningful touching, a promised inside a heart. All is done and showed by a simple couple and precious couple that is Habibie-Ainun, until ovarium cancer separated them but the emotional boundary already tied tightly. Habibie is a symbol of a loving man who trust that only one love GOD gives to ones, Habibie believes that Ainun is his. One quotation from the book of Habibie-Ainun;

The inspiration of writing this story is when I watched Habibie-Ainun's movie in cinema 21 Makassar. It was very touching movie as most of the watchers were crying. In this movie Reza Rahardian as Habibie, and Bunga Cinta Lestari as Ainun. They both successful make Habibie and Ainun character become very strong as their acting so awesome. Reza Rahardian speaks looks like Habibie's way, the way he walks also perfectly like Habibie, speaks Germany very fluently, I do respect to his acting and admire him a lot now, what a great actor. Yesterday on 30th of December 2012, I proud of become an Indonesian people, I love Indonesian movie. Working and showing the world we also have many great stories to be introduced and told. Life apparently imitates art — or at least cable television.

A former high school chemistry teacher convicted of cooking meth in New Mexico — not unlike Walter White, the fictional antihero from "Breaking Bad" — was sentenced to four years in prison Wednesday, prosecutors said.

New Mexico District Judge Fernando Macias handed the defendant, John W. Gose, a nine-year sentence, all but four years of it suspended. After he is released, Gose must serve five years of supervised probation.

"We asked the court for the sentence we felt was appropriate for Mr. Gose," Doña Ana County District Attorney Mark D’Antonio said in a statement. "We are very pleased that the defendant will have to face the consequences of his illegal and irresponsible decisions."

Gose, 56, pleaded guilty in May to trafficking by manufacturing a controlled substance.

He was arrested in October after Las Cruces police officers found a white Styrofoam ice chest containing glassware, rubber tubing and chemicals used to cook methamphetamine during a routine traffic stop, according to prosecutors.

Authorities later found more chemicals and supplies at his home in southern New Mexico. Investigators said he possessed ingredients to make at least a pound of meth — at an estimated street value of $44,800.

Gose taught high school science in El Paso, Texas, and middle school science in Las Cruces, prosecutors said. He told a roommate that he used to teach chemistry, according to police reports cited by prosecutors.

However, the competition will likely be tougher moving forward for the company, as more phone makers are utilizing OLED technology instead of LCD displays. Lutung Kasarung
Once upon a time, there was a kingdom led by a wise king named Prabu Tapak Agung. He had two beautiful daughters named Purbararang and Purbasari. When he was close to his death, the king chose his youngest daughter named Purnasari as his successor.
“I am too old to lead this kingdom, it is time for me to give up the throne to my daughter,” said the king.
“Who will replace you lead this kingdom, my king?” asked his Patih.
“I choose my youngest daughter Purbasari as my successor”, replied the king.
Purbararang which is the elder sister did not agree with the king’s decision. She was upset and angry.
“I am his eldest daughter. He should choose me as his successor,” grumbled Purbararang to her fiancée named Indrajaya.
“The throne should be yours. You are more deserving than your sister!” answered Indrajaya.
Hearing Indrajaya’s incitement, Purbararang got angrier and intended to harm his sister. Then she asked an evil witch to curse Purbasari
“Ooo witch, I want you to curse my sister Purbasari”, Said Purbararang.
“Hihihihhi ok, I will carry out your request,” replied the witch.
Then the witch’s spell Purbasari. She turned Purbasari’s skin which was smooth and soft became mottled-black spots. After Purbasari becoming ugly, Purbararang expelled her sister.
“Go away! A disgusting people like you do not deserve to be a queen! “, Said Purbararang.
“But, I am your sister, please do not expel me” pleaded Purbasari.
Purbarang still rejected it and asked Patih to take Purbasari
“You cannot be here, you still have to go from here, Patih take her into the woods!”
Then Patih brought Purbasari into the woods. “My princess, you have to be patient. God will always be with you and help you” advised Patih.
“Thank you “, said Purbasari.
There, Purbasari was accompanied by animals that were always kind to her. Among the animals, there was a mysterious black hairy ape named Lutung Kasarung. The ape was very attentive and always cheered Purbasari.
“Uuaak uuakk, princess, you do not be sad. I will always accompany you here” said the Ape while gave a flower to Purbasari. The princess did not know that the Ape was a powerful man who had been condemned to be an ape.
“Ooo witch, I want you to curse my sister Purbasari”, Said Purbararang.
“Hihihihhi ok, I will carry out your request,” replied the witch.

Purbararang finally admitted her defeat and guilty. She apologized to her sister and begged not to be punished. Purbasari kindly forgive them. The commotion between the two parties is widely known as 'cicak vs buaya' or 'gecko vs crocodile' which symbolizes the tumult behind those who are in power. This issue is speculated to have a direct correlation with previous hotly debated issue regarding the naming of Budi Gunawan as a suspect of graft- case by KPK. The fact that he remains the most eligible candidate for head of Indonesian police position aggravated those who are unsupportive with the notion.

As the issue became rampant, many corruption activist came to KPK. One of them is the former vice Minister of Justice and Human Rights Denny Indrayana. Denny personally requests for President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo to help the reconciliation process between the two parties before the conflict starts to deteriorate even more.

"Lets save the Indonesian police, lets save KPK from this unresolved conflict. President Jokowi has to engage himself in the reconciliatory attempt as to assure the safety of all," Denny said at KPK Building, Friday (23/01/2015).

Denny speculates the naming of Budi Gunawan as a suspect for graft- case is driven by personal reason.

PBS announced on Monday that CNN International correspondent Christiane Amanpour would be the interim replacement for Charlie Rose after he was fired and his long-running interview show was canceled over multiple allegations of sexual harassment.

“‘Amanpour on PBS’ adds to the long tradition of public-affairs programming that has been a hallmark of public media for decades,” PBS President and CEO Paula Kerger said in a statement.

Rose's eponymous program ran on PBS and Bloomberg TV, and he was also an anchor for “CBS This Morning.” All three broadcasters let him go on Nov. 21 after The Washington Post and other outlets published multiple, separate accounts of women who said that Rose had sexually harassed or assaulted them.

CNN International will continue to air Amanpour’s shows on weekdays at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. EST. “Amanpour on PBS” will begin airing on New York’s PBS station on Monday and will roll out to other stations beginning Dec. 11.

Amanpour is the recipient of a number of journalistic awards for excellence, including 11 news and documentary Emmys, four Peabody Awards and two George Polk Awards.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions pushed back against President Donald Trump's latest insult on atest insult on Wednesday, prolonging an increasingly awkward public spat between the President and his top law enforcement official.

Trump chastised Sessions over an investigation into alleged surveillance abuses, calling his approach "disgraceful."
"Why is A.G. Jeff Sessions asking the Inspector General to investigate potentially massive FISA abuse. Will take forever, has no prosecutorial power and already late with reports on Comey etc," Trump wrote. "Isn't the I.G. an Obama guy? Why not use Justice Department lawyers? DISGRACEFUL!"
Responding to Trump's tweet, the attorney general said in a statement that the Justice Department "initiated the appropriate process that will ensure complaints against this department will be fully and fairly acted upon if necessary."
"As long as I am the attorney general, I will continue to discharge my duties with integrity and honor, and this department will continue to do its work in a fair and impartial manner according to the law and Constitution," Sessions said.
Sessions had said Tuesday that the Justice Department is looking at whether the FBI has properly handled applications for surveillance orders under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
Sessions, appearing at a news conference announcing a new opioid task force, was asked about House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes' controversial memo outlining purported surveillance abuses and told reporters that "the inspector general will take that as one of the matters he'll deal with."
The Justice Department's inspector general is Michael E. Horowitz, a longtime department official who has worked under Republican and Democrat administrations. He was confirmed for the inspector general job in 2012 under then-President Barack Obama.
While Trump is correct that Horowitz does not have prosecutorial powers, he can -- and often does -- make criminal referrals to the Justice Department based on his investigations. An investigation into improper FISA use would fall squarely onto Horowitz, too, given his charge instructs him to "investigate alleged violations of criminal and civil laws by DOJ employee."
Sessions chose to respond to the President because his latest jab was more "in the weeds" and about process, said a source familiar with Sessions' thinking.
Previous times, Trump has insulted Sessions when calling for the investigation of Hillary Clinton, but this time he called for Sessions to go after Justice Department attorneys, which was a bridge too far, said the source.
"There is a process, we are following that process," the source added.
As Sessions left the Billy Graham event in the Capitol on Wednesday, CNN asked for his response to Trump's tweet and criticism of him.
"I'm not commenting on that this morning. Thank you," he responded.
Asked if he has discussed the criticism directly with the President, Sessions just said, "Thanks."
Trump's scathing tweet is the latest in a long line of public rebukes the President has leveled against his attorney general, a man who broke with much of his party to endorse Trump early in his presidential run.
Trump's anger toward Sessions stems from his decision to recuse himself from all investigations into the 2016 campaign, including special counsel Robert Mueller's expanding investigation into collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian operatives bent on meddling in the election. Sessions made that decision after he did not fully answer questions during his confirmation hearing about his conversations with Russian diplomats during the 2016 campaign. Trump, in turn, has said he wouldn't have named Sessions to lead the Justice Department had he known he would have recused himself.
That animosity has played out publicly ever since.
Trump pestered Sessions for not looking into Hillary Clinton's deleted emails, slammed him for being "very weak" on Clinton's "crimes" and labeled him "beleaguered" in July.
As pressure mounted on Sessions last year, his standing in the administration appeared untenable to people inside the West Wing. During the first six months of Trump's presidency, Trump asked for Sessions' resignation, called the attorney general an "idiot" but then later declined to accept his attorney general's resignation letter.
Sessions has so far weathered the incessant incoming from the White House and sources close to the attorney general have told CNN that he is unlikely to go anywhere soon. But the saga between the two top Republicans has played out in public for much of Trump's first year in office and the President's chronic antipathy towards the top law enforcement official has defined Trump's view of the Justice Department.
Trump's anger boiled over in June, too, when the President pushed then-chief of staff Reince Priebus to obtain Sessions' resignation, according sources familiar with the exchange. Priebus later said that he talked Trump out of the firing.
The latest chapter in the saga between Trump and Sessions came just one week ago, when Trump challenged Sessions to launch an investigation into the Obama administration for failing to do enough to stop the 2016 election foreign interference.

And also some groups of beast like lion, tiger, and wolves.

Well, I think the measures taken so far to overcome the problem by punishing the corruptors is still not far enough. We have to prevent the younger generations from getting a bad mentality caused by corruption.

Recommendation
I believe we should start at the earliest stages in school and I think everyone should be involved in the effort to eradicate corruption. We must not make any distinction.

Throw Trash in Its Place

Thesis:

Trash is a phenomenon that we often encounter in the community. Trash is stuffs that can’t be used anymore, that its existence is very annoying. Trash also has bad impact for our health and our environment.

Argument:

Trash at first looks normal scattered around us, but it will caused many bad impacts if it is ignored continuously by the people. Trash can harm our health. Rubbish that is pile up will bring smells that contaminate the air and there would be a lot of flies come. Then, pile up trash will also invited other unwanted organisms to come which subsequently bring diseases, such as diarrhea and dengue.

Argument:

Besides bringing disease, trash can also bring disaster such as flood. Trash that dumped into the river by the residents continuously will make the water on the river can not flow, and over time the water will overflows with heavy rains that continue to flush. If flood occurs, it will make people can not do their activities like usual. In addition, in areas where the land is slope it can caused landslides.

Recommendation:

Lots of negative impacts caused by trash, for that reason we must keep our environment clean from the trash. We can start by doing a small thing such as throw trash in its place.

And how high is about the cost. In the same way, when they think about straightly seeking job, what skill and competence they have got is a big matter of questioning. So, doing both choices in the same time is an alternative.

Continuing study as well as seeking job is possibly done but it will be hard for them. Conventionally studying in the university needs much time to spend especially in the first year. It is true because they have to do and adapt a lot of things in their new higher school. it will be very hard to looking for job. Therefore it should come to their mind of continuing studying at higher school from their own home. As result, the available time will be more flexible for them. Then it will be very possible to seek job and get the appropriate one. This type of studying is publicly known as distance learning.

Recommendation
As the alternative method of studying, besides the conventional studying which students and the lecturer have to meet in the fixed time and place regularly, distance learning provides possibility to grow better. Possibly working and studying surely will create high quality graduate. Distance learning should appear as a considerable choice for them.

In this age of technology all students in the Montana University System should be required to learn Internet use, and there should be a course to teach it as a core requirement.
The first reason is going to school in the twenty-first century almost all classes require some computer use. Every time you go to the library at M.S.U.C.O.T, you need to know how to go online as there are very few books anymore, and almost everything is on the Web.

Following that when you go to find a job, more and more companies are using computers. It’s getting almost impossible to find a job that dosen’t require computer skills of some sort. Even the jobs people used to think of as unskilled labors such as a mechanic are using computers. All cars built today have a computer built into them. At that beach she began to sleep. Why are you not afraid of me?” the princess asked. “I am the king of the sea. You have been sleeping here for three months in suffer. So, it is the time for me to help you. I will give back your beauty but after that you will never get your previous life.” The man said. “Oh, my lord, you are so kind. I have lost my previous life so I like to have the new life. Issue
National exam becomes the hottest topic to be discussed every year. Especially when all educational elements are busy to prepare their students to face national exam. Although the government always carries out the national exam every year, some still debate whether it is necessary to maintain the national exam. Does the quality of Indonesia education depend on it? If there is no national exam, will the Indonesia education become worse or better?

Argument 1 / supporting point

People, who agree and support the national exam, insist that the Indonesia education drop if there is no national exam. So they try to defend the system.

Argument 2 / contrasting point

However, some people who are against the national exam question the government policy in maintaining the national exam. They explain that the quality of Indonesia education not just depend on the national exam. Further, there are too many fouls appear during the national exam. This indicates that not all schools are ready to hold the national exam.

Recommendation / conclussion

This need to be evaluated by all the educational elements to solve whether the national exam is useful or not. But in fact, the reason that the government still maintains the national exam is that it be able to measure the level of student’s cognitive competence in several subjects, on a national scale. Why indonesia people should value all different cultures
Thesis
Indonesia is a culturally-diverse country. Many different religions and cultures from many provinces are now seen living side by side in many places. One of the biggest questions facing Indonesian today is how to deal with a culturally diverse citizenry and then promote unity.

Argument 1
First, Indonesians should appreciate differences among culture for the following reasons. Firstly, Indonesia is vulnerable to separation for its archipelago and culture diversity. Raising tolerance among people is the best way to maintain the unity among differences. Many ways or cultures of living are equally legal, even if they are not regarded as normal by some people. If a society claims to be tolerant of personal choice, then it must respect the personal choice to retain their heritage. Then, unity of the nation can be preserved.

Argument 2
Secondly, Indonesians must recognize that every culture has different customs and beliefs. Thus, people are forbidden to make judgments of comparative value, for it is measuring something unmeasured. A plurality of nations, especially in the modern era, can allow for cultural development and cultural exchange that benefits both parties. The cross-cultural understanding among cultures makes the world a better place and preserves the unity of the nation.

Argument 3
Lastly, raising nationalism is one way to preserve unity of the nation. It is a sense of fellow feeling between group members. This promotes cooperation and social cohesion within the group. The sense of social cooperation makes welfare, social security and medical programs much more likely and stronger.

Recommendation
Cultural differences are sometime a sensitive matter for people. Indonesian people must teach younger generation about the importance of the cultural identity and nationalism to promote unity of the nation.

THESIS : In the past, I have never been inclined to participate in sports. Honestly, I didn’t like it, but many persons whom I lived with kept telling me everyday how good it was. Since the peer pressure was growing, I decided to go to the gym. It wasn’t until then that I could really understand people when they said exercise really helped a person get organized and keep yourself in a healthy physically and mentally.

ARGUMENT 1 : For starters, when you are a lazy person, it is difficult to take the first step, but it is all a matter of committing yourself to something that will provide you a lot of positive feedback. Once you start doing exercise and observing positive results, you actually enjoy it. It takes a lot of effort and strong will, but it's worth it. The principal thing to do is to participate in an activity you like. If you do you’ll start organizing your day in a way that enables you to do everything you have to, including exercising. You will no longer be a person stressed-out without time to carry on with all your activities.

ARGUMENT 2: Second, it is obvious that once you exercise you will have a better condition. You will be healthier in a physical way. It is probable that you will lose weight and your muscles will get stronger and stronger. Your body will feel good, full of energy and it will respond immediately to any action you want to do, any activity that has to be done with high spirits.

ARGUMENT 3: The third reason why exercising is good is that it affects you positively in a mental and psychological way. Doing exercise helps you set specific goals which along with strong will can be achieved. When you do that, you are aware of your abilities, accept your weaknesses, and your self-esteem goes up. Any sport distracts you because it helps you not to think about school, friends, problems, among other things. It brings you time to think about yourself and no one else. It helps you keep your mind busy and to avoid dangerous habits like drugs.

RECOMMENDATION : Doing exercise is very important to any person of any age. The positive effects of exercising, which I’ve already mentioned, are like a chain. Once you do a sports activity that you like, you get organized; therefore, you start doing things the right way and get enormous benefits which make you feel good as a whole human being. THESIS : Going out in the burning sun without sensible protection is extremely dangerous. There are many reasons why you shoud stay safe from the burning sun. Some of them are you can get sunburnt, you can get skin cancers, and you can damage your eyesight.

ARGUMENT 1 : The first reason is that you can get extremely sunburn. Sunburn is the skin’s reaction to the ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun. You can see sunlight and feel heat (infrared radiation), but you can’t see or feel UV radiation. It can damage your skin even on cool, cloudy days.

ARGUMENT 2 : The second reason is that you can get horrible skin cancers because of damaging light rays. In Australia, over many people die from skin cancer because they do not stay safe in the burning sun. Although this can be cured, the prevention of getting burnt is a better solution than curing this skin cancer.

ARGUMENT 3 : Another reason is that too much time out in bright sunlight can damage your eyesight. The intense ultraviolet (UV) rays of the sun damage sensitive cells in the eyes, eventually affecting vision. Experts say it is difficult to isolate the exact amount of damage that UV radiation imposes on the eye over a long period. However, a number of studies have shown that the effects build up and may increase the chance of developing eye problems later in life. These may include cataracts, a clouding of the lens of the eye.

RECOMMENDATION : The last, after knowing all dangers of the burning sun without sensible protection, I recommend you to wear a hat which can help your face, head, and hair stay safe in the sun. You should also put on a shirt which can protect you from many skin deseases, and you had better use sunscreen and wear sunglasses to prevent eye problems.

Fasten Your Seat Belt!

A seat belt, sometimes called a safety belt, is a safety harness designed to secure the occupant of a vehicle against harmful movement that may result from a collision or a sudden stop. Why should we use seat belt?

As part of an overall occupant restraint system, seat belts are intended to reduce injuries by stopping the wearer from hitting hard interior elements of the vehicle or other passengers (the so-called second impact) and by preventing the wearer from being thrown from the vehicle.

During 2004, total accident in DKI Jakarta are 4.544 cases, with 1.146 death victims, 63% of that accident victims didn’t use seat belt . If we use seat belt, we will be safe if an accident happening to us. Of course it will decrease the number of death by fatal accident. This fact makes us realize that if we don’t use seat belt, we will endanger our life. So it’s very important to use seat belt.

For some people, using seat belt makes journey uncomfortable, makes us can’t move freely, etc. But if we used to wear it, it will be our habit. We will feel more and more comfortable if we often use it. Regardless of whether it is comfortable or not, it is very important for us to use seat belt, to save our life.

From the above reasons, there is not any reasons for us not to use seat belt. There are so many advantages of using seat belt. And so many disadvantages will we have if we do not use seat belt. I think we have to rely on one thing: our safety. Protection is better than curing. So, wear and fasten seat belt!

What is the benefit of tourism for local people? Well, Tourism is now a huge contributor to the economies of most countries. Tourism industries can bring money, job vacancy and advancement especially to developing regions. However, this money often goes into the pockets of foreign investors, and only rarely benefits for local people.

Argument :

Tourism industries will not give much benefit for local people if, for example, multinational hotel chains don't care about the surrounding nature when they build new hotels. This can cause many social, cultural and geographical problems. Some local people may get job and money from that International hotel chain. However in case of missing that opportunity, some of them still have their own environment.

Moreover, some facts show that tourists tend to go, visit and spend their money in restaurants, bars and even luxury hotels of that multinational chains. They less go to such places; restaurant, bar, hotel, shop which are owned by local people. This can prevent the local people's business from becoming even larger.

Most important thing, tours or excursions of tourism have little effect on nature. Even it can disrupt or destroy ecosystems and environments, and if it does, the local people will get the risk.

Recommendation :

So the local government policies should be put in place to ensure that tourism will make the benefit spreading widely. The policies should guarantee that tourism will not cause any harm to any local people or places.

The principal thing to do is to participate in an activity you like. If you do you’ll start organizing your day in a way that enables you to do everything you have to, including exercising. You will no longer be a person stressed-out without time to carry on with all your activities.

ARGUMENT 2: Second, it is obvious that once you exercise you will have a better condition. You will be healthier in a physical way. It is probable that you will lose weight and your muscles will get stronger and stronger. Your body will feel good, full of energy and it will respond immediately to any action you want to do, any activity that has to be done with high spirits.

ARGUMENT 3: The third reason why exercising is good is that it affects you positively in a mental and psychological way. Doing exercise helps you set specific goals which along with strong will can be achieved. When you do that, you are aware of your abilities, accept your weaknesses, and your self-esteem goes up. Any sport distracts you because it helps you not to think about school, friends, problems, among other things. It brings you time to think about yourself and no one else. It helps you keep your mind busy and to avoid dangerous habits like drugs.

RECOMMENDATION : Doing exercise is very important to any person of any age. The positive effects of exercising, which I’ve already mentioned, are like a chain. Once you do a sports activity that you like, you get organized; therefore, you start doing things the right way and get enormous benefits which make you feel good as a whole human being. You start living your life happily.

Thesis statement:

The new curriculum is implemented due to several reasons which could promote betterment for Indonesia.

Argument 1

From the survey of children’s critical thinking ability level among countries in Asia, Indonesia got low position. It shows that Indonesian children need an education which can increase their critical thinking ability. For this reason, the government think that Indonesia needs to upgrade the curriculum of the primary and secondary education.

Argument 2

The other reason is related to moral issues among young generation in Indonesia. The government and education practitioners would like to build good character of the young generation. Character building is considered as the important one to insert in every subject matter at school. Therefore, the new curriculum also decreases the hour of other subject matter.

Argument 3

Furthermore, Indonesia is preparing for the Asian Economic Society in which we need to increase the quality of Indonesian human resources to compete with the other nation so that they could survive in their life.

Argument 4

In addition, better quality of human resource is also prepared to welcome the anniversary of Indonesia’s 100 year-independence. It is one of the government’s goals. The government believe that education is one of the ways to upgrade the quality of human resource. The implication of better quality of human resource is expected to give betterment for Indonesia in many aspects.

Recommendation

It is suggested for the government to make the teachers knowledgeable and more professional in implementing the new curriculum since many teachers complaint that they do not get sufficient and detail instruction to deal with the new curriculum. Teachers need to have specific knowledge about the new curriculum related to each subject matter. Besides, teachers are suggested to actively find information about the new curriculum and be creative in implementing the new curriculum.

In our attempts to full understand these clashes and find constructive solutions, we must take several issues into consideration. Second, tourism planners' tendency to approach living villages as "objects" must be curtailed; many of the conflicts in Toraja stem in part from the way in which consultants treat tourist attractions, such as Toraja houses and graves, as objects divorced from living traditions. Tana Toraja Culture And Social Life Overview

Tana Toraja or Toraja is one of the beautiful region at South Sulawesi Province. From the distance, one can see the jagged edges of the hill stretching side by side along the slop of the mountains. Moreover, one can be also find beautiful valleys in which bamboo and sugar palms are growing and the traditional houses with curved roof among the paddy field, beautiful and naturally carved and colored by the skill full people of Toraja.

The Toraja people live in the highlands of South Sulawesi. The word Toraja comes from the Buginese language's "to riaja", meaning "people of the uplands".

Most of the population is indigenous belief system is polytheistic animism, called Aluk ("the way"), Indonesian government has recognized this animist belief as Aluk To Dolo ("Way of the Ancestors"). In the Toraja myth, the ancestors of Torajan people came down from heaven using stairs, which were then used by the Torajans as a communication medium with Puang Matua, the Creator. The cosmos, according to Aluk, is divided into the upper world (heaven), the world of man (earth), and the underworld. At first, heaven and earth were married, then there was a darkness, a separation, and finally the light. Animals live in the underworld, which is represented by rectangular space enclosed by pillars, the earth is for mankind, and the heaven world is located above, covered with a saddle-shaped roof. Other Toraja Gods include Pong Banggai di Rante (god of Earth), Indo' Ongon-Ongon (a goddess who can cause earthquakes), Pong Lalondong (god of death), and Indo' Belo Tumbang (goddess of medicine); and other population is Christian, and others are Muslim.

The earthly authority, whose words and actions should be cleaved to both in life (agriculture) and death (funerals), is called To Minaa (an aluk priest). Aluk is not just a belief system; it is a combination of law, religion, and habit. Aluk governs social life, agricultural practices, and ancestral rituals. The details of aluk may vary from one village to another. One common law is the requirement that death and life rituals be separated. Torajans believe that performing death rituals might ruin their corpses if combined with life rituals. The two rituals are equally important. During the time of the Dutch missionaries, Christian Torajans were prohibited from attending or performing life rituals, but were allowed to perform death rituals. Consequently, Toraja's death rituals are still practiced today, while life rituals have diminished.

There has been conflict in Syria for the last nine years, leaving hundreds of thousands of people dead. About 13 million Syrians had to leave their homes because of danger.

Last Wednesday, the United Nations Commission of inquiry sent out a 21-page report. They based the report on hundreds of interviews and analyses of photos, videos, and satellite images. The report says that there is proof that the international coalition did not direct its attacks towards a specific goal. Put simply, the UN says that the airstrikes launched by the USA, Syria and Russia in Syria may be war crimes.

DANGER OF SMOKING
Health officials are warning people to stop using e-cigarettes, as the number of illnesses related to them continues to rise in the United States.

The health officials said that they know about 450 cases across 33 states of illnesses possibly related to e-cigarettes. That is more than double the number of cases reported two weeks ago. The number of deaths due to lung injury has also increased to five cases since August this year.

The officials said that it is too early to say what exact chemical in the e-cigarettes is causing the problems because some patients reported smoking both e-cigarettes and marijuana. Some reported using nicotine only.

The officials advise e-cigarette users not to buy e-cigarettes in the streets, as well as not to add any substances that are not intended by the manufacturer.

Indonesian police fire tear gas, water cannons, as students protest law that would criminalize extramarital sex

(CNN)Thousands of student protesters have taken to the streets of Indonesia to oppose a controversial draft criminal code that would make consensual sex outside of marriage illegal and a new law that could weaken anti-corruption efforts.

On Tuesday -- the second consecutive day of mass demonstrations in the capital -- protesters gathered outside the parliament building in the country's capital Jakarta to demand the government withdraw the draft code. Pictures from the rally show large crowds of mostly young protesters setting bonfires on the street and waving banners.

An estimated 18,000 police were dispatched to guard the Parliament Building, state media reported. Police later fired tear gas and deployed water cannons to disperse the crowds.

Before long a seemingly pedestrian election became a referendum on the role of Islam in Indonesian politics. In the capital Jakarta, some 26,000 police and soldiers were deployed while large crowds — including placard-carrying students and factory workers — chanted for change near parliament, which was barricaded with barbed wire.

The demonstrations have been fuelled by a proposed bill that includes dozens of legal changes — from criminalising pre-marital sex and restricting contraceptive sales, to making it illegal to insult the president and toughening the Muslim-majority country’s blasphemy law.

The protests are among the biggest student rallies since mass street demonstrations in 1998 toppled the Suharto dictatorship.

Passage of the reforms has now been delayed, while Widodo has said he would consider revising a separate bill that critics fear would dilute the powers of Indonesia’s corruption-fighting agency, known as the KPK.

“Why is this law being revised?” said Lukmanul Hakim Ahbr, a 24-year-old Indonesian who said he returned from his studies in neighbouring Malaysia to join the protests.

“We students… reject any revision that will weaken the KPK,” he added.

Some held banners that read: “Cancel regulations that threaten people’s rights and the environment.”

Protesters have also demanded troops be pulled from Indonesia’s restive Papua region, where fresh violence killed more than 30 people this month.

They are also demanding a probe on the deaths of two university students on Sulawesi island last week, including one who was shot during the anti-government protests. The police have denied responsibility.

On Monday, scuffles broke out between authorities and some 2,000 university students on Lombok, an island next to Bali where hundreds also rallied.

More than a thousand demonstrators gathered in the city of Bandung on Java island.

Ahead of Tuesday’s inauguration of MPs, Indonesia’s chief security minister Wiranto — who goes by one name — warned that any bloodshed would not be tolerated.

“I’m reminding protesters not to engage in violence or disrupt the inauguration of new lawmakers,” the minister told a press briefing.

Officials have portrayed the protests as being hijacked by agitators aiming to disrupt government — and suggested they were similar to May’s deadly post-election riots that paralysed Jakarta.

Updating Indonesia’s criminal code, which dates back to the Dutch colonial era, has been debated for decades but there was a renewed push this year backed by conservative Islamic groups.

JAKARTA, Indonesia — Thousands of protesters gathered outside of Parliament and in cities across Indonesia on Monday urging the president, Joko Widodo, to halt legislation aimed at crippling anti-corruption efforts and sharply reducing personal freedom.

Efforts by the outgoing Parliament to rush through a series of contested bills with the president’s approval before its five-year session ended Monday have aroused national concern over the measures, which opponents say would transform Indonesia into a less tolerant and more repressive society. Protesters fear the reintroduction of the measures after the new Parliament is sworn in on Tuesday.

One far-reaching measure, a proposed revision of the criminal code, would outlaw abortion except in cases of rape and incest and prohibit sex outside marriage, effectively banning gay and lesbian relations. It also would restrict free speech by strengthening laws on blasphemy and treason and making it a crime to insult the president.

Student-led protests, which began last week, compelled Mr. Joko to put a hold on many of the bills, including the criminal code revision. But that is not enough for protesters, who want him to pledge not to let the crime bill come back.

“The president said he would postpone it, but we want it canceled,” said Rama, a 24-year-old student at Industrial Management Polytechnic who gave only his first name for fear of retribution. “We will protest until it is revoked.”

The president also has balked at pulling back a law already approved by Parliament that would limit the authority of the respected Corruption Eradication Commission, including its power to wiretap suspects and hire independent staff members.

Many Indonesians see government corruption as one of the nation’s biggest problems and view the commission as one of the few entities that has done something about it.

Thousands of student protesters have taken to the streets of Indonesia to oppose a controversial draft criminal code that would make consensual sex outside of marriage illegal and a new law that could weaken anti-corruption efforts.

An estimated 18,000 police were dispatched to guard the Parliament Building, state media reported. Police later fired tear gas and deployed water cannons to disperse the crowd.
University students across the country staged similar protests. In the province of South Sulawesi, demonstrations became chaotic as police fired tear gas and beat students with clubs, according to state media.

The proposed penal code, if passed, would usher in a raft of sweeping new laws. In addition to effectively outlawing same-sex relations, and penalties for insulting the president, the law would also impose a possible jail sentence for anyone who helped a woman terminate her pregnancy.

The bill has been widely criticized by rights groups as a violation of basic freedoms, with Human Rights Watch describing it as "disastrous not only for women and religious and gender minorities, but for all Indonesians."

Protesters are also demanding that the government repeal a controversial new law passed last week that critics allege will weaken the independence of the nation's main anti-corruption agency, the Corruption Eradication Commission, known as the KPK.

The new law means that the country's anti-graft body Corruption Eradication Commission is no longer an independent state body, but instead operates under the government, according to Antara News.

The presidential election, the fourth in the country's history, used a direct, simple majority system, with incumbent Indonesian President Joko Widodo, known as Jokowi, running for re-election with senior Muslim cleric Ma'ruf Amin as his running mate against former general Prabowo Subianto and former Jakarta vice governor Sandiaga Uno for a five-year term between 2019 and 2024. The election was a rematch of the 2014 presidential election, in which Widodo defeated Prabowo. The legislative election, which was the 12th such election for Indonesia, saw over 240,000 candidates competing for over 20,000 seats in the MPR and local councils for provinces and cities/regencies, with over 8,000 competing for the People's Representative Council (DPR) seats alone. The election was described as "one of the most complicated single-day ballots in global history".[3] Jokowi's 85 million votes were the most votes cast for a single candidate in any democratic election in Indonesia's history, exceeding the record of his predecessor Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who won 73 million votes in 2009.[citation needed]

On 21 May 2019, the General Elections Commission (KPU) declared Jokowi victorious in the presidential election, with over 55% of the vote. Widodo's PDI-P finished first in the DPR election with 19.33%, followed by Prabowo's Gerindra with 12.57%, then Golkar with 12.31%, the National Awakening Party (PKB) with 9.69%, the Nasdem Party with 9.05%, and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) with 8.21%.

Following the election, it emerged of the more than 7 million election workers, 569 had died during the lengthy voting and counting process. Prabowo's campaign team claimed the deaths were linked to fraud that disadvantaged him.[4] As of 9 May 2019, the election commission (KPU) said the dead included 456 election officers, 91 supervisory agents and 22 police officers.[5]

More than 500 people were arrested after clashes in Indonesia's capital amid nationwide protests against a raft of divisive reforms -- including banning pre-marital sex and weakening the anti-graft agency -- authorities said Tuesday.

The arrests came after a night of pitched street battles between riot police and stone-throwing protesters -- many high school and university students -- in Jakarta's sprawling downtown core.

Security forces geared up for more unrest Tuesday as some 575 lawmakers were sworn in at the country's heavily barricaded parliament building.

Since last week, at least two students have died and hundreds more have been injured as a wave of unrest swept across the Southeast Asian archipelago, just weeks before President Joko Widodo kicks off another term as head of the world's third-biggest democracy.

The protests are among the biggest student rallies since mass street demonstrations in 1998 toppled the Suharto dictatorship.

"So far we have detained 519 rioters from yesterday's demonstration," Jakarta police spokesman Argo Yuwono told AFP Tuesday.

"We're questioning them to determine whether or not they are students," he added.

The government has sought to portray the protests as being hijacked by agitators aiming to disrupt the government -- and suggested they were similar to deadly post-election riots that paralysed Jakarta in May.

National police spokesman Dedi Prasetyo was quoted by local media as saying that police had detained 649 demonstrators from Monday's protests.

Several dozen protesters were injured Monday at rallies in other parts of the country, authorities said.

In the largest student uprising in decades, former supporters of the president are now questioning his commitment to reform.

Last week, tens of thousands of students across Indonesia took to the streets to protest a series of controversial laws that weaken the country’s highly popular Corruption Eradication Commission and stipulate harsh criminal penalties for a host of new offenses, including insulting the president and having sex outside of marriage. These are the largest student demonstrations in the country since activists stormed the parliament two decades ago, forcing the resignation of President Suharto and ending 32 years of his so-called New Order dictatorship.

The protests started on Sept. 23 with ad hoc marches organized by university students. Since then they have spread with surprising speed across major urban centers, escalating to disturbing levels of violence. At least 232 people have been injured in confrontations with police forces using tear gas and water cannons. On Thursday, two students were killed, reportedly shot during clashes with the police. As the parliament concluded its final session Monday, thousands of students in Jakarta clashed again with the police, shutting down all major roads in the city.

Indonesia’s President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, who was reelected with more than 55 percent of the popular vote in April, is no stranger to protests. His first term and reelection were marked by a series of large demonstrations from Islamist groups, backed by opposition parties. But what is unique about these ongoing student protests is that they are led by his own supporters, who are enraged by his reluctance to block parliamentary legislation targeting anti-corruption efforts and diminishing personal freedoms.

Although most influential politicians in Indonesia are linked to powerful political families or the military, Jokowi rose to prominence as an outsider. His clean image as a small-town mayor and the governor of Jakarta, along with his promises to champion human rights and accountability, delivered him an unlikely victory in the 2014 presidential race.

Months into Jokowi’s first term, however, he ran into resistance from his own coalition partners in parliament, who saw his victory as a way to access state resources and further their political interests. And so he shifted focus to the implementation of infrastructure projects, appointing New Order-era generals as advisors to help him overcome political and bureaucratic obstacles. The reliance on the security apparatus to deal with political opponents grew deeper as Islamist groups launched a highly polarizing sectarian campaign, first against his key political allies and then against his own reelection bid. As observers have noted, Jokowi’s survival measures led to unprecedented persecution of political critics and reinvolvement of the military in politics.

Expectations from Jokowi’s second term were higher. His supporters still believed that he was a good man constrained by a corrupt system. This image, along with a popular aversion to the Islamist alternative presented by the rival camp, secured him and his supporting coalition a decisive mandate for a second term. Emboldened by the victory and free from the burden of seeking re-nomination, Jokowi vowed to pursue sweeping reforms.

But that is why his government’s active participation in formulating a series of regressive laws has enraged his supporters. The furor began last week when a bill that strips the Corruption Eradication Commission of its independence suddenly appeared on the legislative agenda. As the most frequent targets of the commission’s anti-graft investigations, lawmakers and party officials had long devised laws to curtail the agency’s powers, but the fear of public backlash prevented them from bringing it for a vote. This time, however, the president’s office also supported these efforts by saying that the anti-corruption agency was discouraging investment.

Taking Jokowi’s reelection as a sign of unconditional support for his policies, all political parties joined forces for a speedy passage of the law that would allow no time for public mobilization against it. Despite anti-graft activists’ demands for a delay in proceedings to allow for public debate, the bill passed unanimously, within days.

Emboldened by this success, parliament declared its intention to pass several other unpopular bills before the end of the legislative session. These include a massive overhaul of the criminal code that penalizes dissent and invades privacy, as well as changes to the labor law and agrarian reform that improve ease of business for large corporations while diminishing legal protections for ordinary citizens.

Underestimating the public’s reaction has turned out to be a grave miscalculation. Data from the Asian Barometer Survey shows that Indonesians consistently identify corruption as the top issue for the government to address, as nearly half the population perceives government officials to be mostly corrupt. The data also shows that the public’s perception of the government’s efforts to address corruption had improved significantly since the Corruption Eradication Commission began operating in 2003. Indeed, the commission is arguably the most popular institution in the country, and previous efforts to interfere in its operations galvanized overwhelming public support for it.

The politicians’ brazen disregard for public opinion stunned seasoned political activists but mobilized a younger generation of Indonesians that has often been regarded as lacking political awareness or interest. Not only have these new entrants into mass politics found innovative ways to arrange their protests and win support through social media and crowd-funding, but they have also articulated a set of progressive demands that include release of political prisoners involved in the independence movement in Papua province and the passage of a long-pending bill on the prevention of sexual violence.
