         <description><![CDATA[<p>Grade 1</p><p>Students would learn to program the robots and move the robot around the maze.</p><p><br></p><p>CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.1.NBT.C.4 - Add within 100, including adding a two-digit number and a one-digit number, and adding a two-digit number and a multiple of 10, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method and explain the reasoning used. Understand that in adding two-digit numbers, one adds tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose a ten.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi Nelly and Kara,</p><p> It looks like you're off to a great start here but you've got multiple grade levels represented in your standards.  Could you please narrow it down to which grade your lesson will be written for?</p><p><br/></p><p>You'll want to add background information about your tech tool as you'll be required to give some information about what it is in your presentation.</p><p><br/></p><p>Next, you'll want to get going on the lesson plan template which is located in BB which will plan a worthwhile task that addresses a variety of student readiness with individualized math. As students learn about programming through different settings such as mathematics, ELA, or social studies.</p><p><br/></p><p>Dash is the robot with three supporting round wheels and one eye on top. Dot is the partner robot that is stationary. We are using Dash. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Math Maze</p><p>Each group of 4 students will have a dash robot. </p><p>They will begin the maze by answering math problems to decide where to go. </p><p>Students will run into check points on their maze. </p><p>At each check point, they should complete a math problem by addition. The math problems are made by rolling a die.</p><p><br/></p><p>Readiness level 1: addition between a two-digit number and a one digit number. Student rolls a die to select each number.</p><p>Readiness level 2: addition between a two digit number and multiple of ten. Student rolls a die to select each number.</p><p>Readiness level 3: addition between two two-digit numbers. Student rolls a die to select each number. </p><p><br/></p><p>Every student should have a worksheet that is appropriate to the addition they complete, and to keep a record of the math work done. As they fill out the worksheet, each student can check one another's work by using manipulatives. </p><p><br/></p><p>If students come to a dead end or cannot make it to the end, they will have to start over.</p><p><br/></p><p>Extension activity: </p><p>Early finishers can create their own math maze!</p>]]></description>
