Reading the book reminded me of term or phrase that I always come back to. Ludwig Wittgenstein said ‘ if a lion could speak, we could not understand him’ this idea that despite the language not being a barrier the normality of two completely different worlds being the barrier. I think this book of edwards life as a child and then coming to England is a great explain  of those two parallels.
