An empirical research article shares the findings of an actual research project or experiment, so one of those for my topic may be a survey of how many SVC students report having to choose between food and rent.

A review article surveys literature on the topic and presents a highly relevant inventory of findings, so one of those for my topic might be a literature review that looks at all the studies done on the effectiveness of food banks in community colleges.

A theoretical article presents frameworks or theories about concepts in my topic.
