Gymnosperms are plants that produce seeds that are unprotected by an ovary. In Georgia there are only 3 families of Gymnosperms and the most diverse so far is Pinaceae. These trees are shrubs, including conifers such as pines, spruces, larches, etc.
http://science.kennesaw.edu/jmcneal7/plantsys/gymnosperms.html

The Third Agriculture Revolution had a a lot to deal with GMO's (genetic modified organisms). I chose this picture because people think of organic foods as being really clean and healthy. Organic foods are all natural foods. But when we look at the 3rd agriculture revolution also known as the Green Revolution, there's really a huge battle between nature and science. As you see in the picture, on the conventional side, the farmer in genetically growing crops.

Vitamins are nutrients that our body needs in order to function properly. Vitamins come from a variety of different plants and, in my opinion, are one of the most influential chemicals used around the world. We eat vitamins on the daily with our meals, and some of us buy specific vitamins for certain needs of the body.

During the process of photosynthesis, carbon dioxide and water react in the presence of sunlight to produce oxygen. Plant cells are the only cells that are able to produce glucose, also known as sugars. Photosynthesis goes through 2 stages. Stage 1: LIGHT DEPENDENT REACTION- the reaction depends on presence of light. Stages 2: LIGHT INDEPENDENT OR DARK REACTION- this reaction can proceed in the absence of light.
