That generosity and compassion that we see comes from our indigenous roots. It's not every man for himself. It's about taking care of family and community, looking after others. And that's a wonderful thing we need right now."(Cisneros 6) The author believes that the latina community is as one and they come together and that is what unique they pick each other up and do what they need to for each other.
