Abstract has no rules; it does not confine to one certain style or color, and does not require a certain material. Many do question whether abstract is art at all, or if you can ever really be good at abstract art. Abstract art is a legitimate style of art, and has been for over 100 years. The art itself is so interesting because it does not need the artist to paint with oil paints, and have anything look like anything at all. When you view abstract, it gives you an emotion, and often leaves viewers to guess what's even going on.
