The sights are incredible and most of the people are very nice to foreigners such as myself. The only thing that I recommend you do before you come here is build your self-esteem. The people that come from America tend to not be so pale, and the pale complexion is very favored in South Korea. Once you’re solid on that I guarantee that you will have a great time.

It is heavily influenced Chinese cultures, which is pretty obvious when I think about it. On Tv most of the time different Kdramas are being aired, or the Korean  news. Most of the population listens to a genre of music called Kpop. A group I have heard of  a lot and slowly grown to like is called Big Bang. After research I learned that they are one of the most successful acts in the global music industry. This means they are very popular amongst audiences around the world! They are even called “ The Kings of Kpop”

I am on my way to the Korea strait. It connects the East China Sea and the Sea of Japan in the pacific ocean. In the earlier days this strait was used as a highway for risky voyages. It came in a lot of use during the war between North Korea and South Korea. I have arrived and it looks like a fast current. The first one I will visit is Bongeunsa. This temple is very popular for Buddhists. They pray here because it is considered holy and pure. It was originally constructed in the 8th century, but by then has been added on to by other architects. The only other major religion in South Korea is confucianism. Although people say it is more a way of living then a religion

The president is Park Geun-hye. She was elected in 2013 and was the first female president for South Korea. This country is a democracy led by the president, and the prime minister is much like the vice president in the United States. The capital city is Seoul.

Its one of the words I’ve picked up from the people around Seoul. Before I left America I had partially learned how to use chopsticks, now I failed to use them but it didn't bother me since they gave me a fork to use. I guess they knew I was a foreigner. The food here I’ve noticed is very natural. It doesn't taste like it was produced in a factory or chemically flavored at all. Today, I eat rice with meat and different kinds of vegetables.

I also noticed how humid the air was, making my skin feel uncomfortable and sticky. Many people were wearing masks due to the significant pollution here. There are many tall skyscrapers and underground subway tunnels.I changed my currency to won and headed outside. Taxi drivers were waiting outside to pick people up from the airport, and I decided to take one to the hotel I would be staying at.
