         <description><![CDATA[<div>Emperor Wudi had an extremely long reign starting at 141 B.C. to 87 B.C. He took the civilization to new heights improving the economy, government. He improved the economy by making the roads and canals better. He made the government better by setting up ganaries across the empire, so the government could buy grain when it was abundant and sell it to stable prices when it was scarce. He also chose confucian men to teach the scholars, and made the imperial university at Xian. Also he made a government monopoly on salt and iron, and reorganized finances.Last of all he followed expansionism, expanding the empire to other areas.All in all Wudi was a tremendous emperor that made his civilization prosper.</div>]]></description>

Wudi improved canals and roads to further economic growth. He had granaries set up across the empire so the government could buy grain when it was abundant . He imposed government monopolies  on iron and salt. Court intrigues undermined emperors who could no longer control powerful warlords, or military rulers. In A.D 220 ambitious warlords over threw the last Han emperor.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As the Han Dynasty aged, signs of decay appeared. Court intrigues underminded emperors who could no longer handle the power of controlling a dynasty. Weak emperors let canals and roads fall into critical condition. Burdened by mountains of taxes, peasants revolted, and the Han Dynasty was over. Warlords became too powerful for emperors, and the peasants revolted. They overthrew the last Han Emperor in 220 to end the Han Dynasty. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The decline of the Han dynasty started as the dynasty aged. New emperors couldn't control military leaders and they let the roads and canals fall to rubble. Peasants revolted over their high debts and taxes leaving the the villages empty because the peasants fled to the mountains. The last Han emperor was overthrown in A.D. 220, by angry warlords after 400 years of unity. Now China split into many kingdoms, making China more disordered.<br><br></div>]]></description>
