When we incorporate students backgrounds within our curriculum, we are able to help them to feel like they are able to be themselves and it can help contribute to their learning. By providing students the opportunity to learn with their background incorporated, it can help them to feel included and more intrigued to learn. It helps create an equal and inclusive environment. This helps us as educators to be sensitive and mindful of their cultural and helps us to make our lesson plans better because of it.

Incorporating diverse literature into teaching can help students to understand their learning better as well as understanding different cultures. This can help students to have a deeper understanding and have students to have a deep discussion of what they are reading and applying it to the real world. It helps them to create questions and think on a deeper level when they are exposed to a diverse setting. It helps create a more inclusive and diverse environment. It is important to incorporate cultures beliefs and that way students can learn about different cultures and understand peoples experiences.

When we first meet our students and their families, it can be important to build a relationship with students families. This means opening up communication, getting feedback from the community and parents. This can help to foster their engagement within the environment. When we establish that relationship, we are able to establish trust and respect that way we can include them in our school activities or events within our classroom. An example of this could be show and tell. The families/communities can come in and bring a food that represents their heritage. This can help create a diverse environment where families and communities feel welcomed and included.

This gives everyone a chance to answer and ask questions. This makes it equal for everyone that way everyone gets a chance. When students are getting called on, they tend to pay attention more and it gives them an opportunity to foster their learning through critical thinking and allows them to make a mistake and learn that also enhances their learning.

A well know historical event would be the Civil Rights Movement. This event started because there needed to be a change for African Americans rights. They needed to make sure that they were getting the same rights as everyone else and needed to end this racial segregation. There was a lot of discrimination and it made it difficult for people to ensure their safety. There was an influence of multicultural education that also played a role into multicultural literature (Roberts, 2024). This helped people to have voices and promote literature.

It helps us to understand what a students strengthens and weaknesses are and how we can best help a student. It is good to have students with other students because this gives students the chance to be able to collaborate with another, respect one another's opinions, and can challenge them to dive deeper into their thinking. Another key point to setting up the classroom is to make sure we are including students culture and backgrounds into the classroom either by art work or by stories for a couple of examples.

This can help everyone to be included within the school and can help to increase engagement all around. A back to school night would be great to get to know everyone and establish a relationship and then we could host events such as hosting a family night. The school can ask for volunteers that way they can be involved in the activities and everyone can be included. This is a great time to have parent workshops, culture events and learning projects for the community. Families and the school could help to ensure that students are getting the right nutrition and can help build a supportive network with the school. This is a great opportunity for everyone to get together and understand what other cultures are and learn about them through back to school night or community projects.
