I chose the songs in the playlist because it really felt like it fit his personality and his role in the story. For example, "The Middle" effectivly despribes his role in the novel because he was really the middle character, the one caught in the drama. "Unknown" is a good example of a song for him because no one knew a whole lot about him in the story. He never talked about himself only everyone else. No one knows who he is, he is the unknown character. "I know the end" is a good example song also, because it describes a isolating life and being caught up in so many different feelings and situations. Several situations, Tom dragged Nick into.

I chose to make a comic explaining the death of Myrtle and the scenes before that. It made it easy to illustrate the chapter in the book and sum it up for the reader. I took out the repetitive and non important parts and summarized the main idea of the chapter. Also, visuals are proven to help the reader comprehend an idea or topic. "The visual imagery strategy is effective for improving comprehension, especially in descriptive texts or literature rich in sensory details" says readingrockets.org and the National Education Association.

In this project, I will be focusing on the main points and less known parts and characters of "The Great Gatsby". I think art is a great way to demonstrate ideas, views and social contructs of the characters while they live through the story during the 20

's. The five genres I chose don't directly relate to each other but rather focus on one character or thought individually.

This is a wanted poster for Gatsby if it were made by the people at his parties at the begining of the story. He is not known that much and people don't tend to care to meet him. He is mysterious to everyone and there are a lot of bad rumors that floated around about him. So I decided to make a wanted poster for him as if his party goers created it.

The start of the story where Nick left the dock after visiting them to their downfall at the end. The first stanza is about chapter one and I skip to the third stanza to write about the final chapter.

I created a collage of images that describe the lifestyle of the 1920's which is when the book takes place. Also, the lifestyle, geography and fashion of the story to give the reader a slight idea of the novel. I also put a picture of alcohol to symbolize the prohibition era (1920s), a map of west and east egg. Where everyone's houses would have been located. Men and women's fashion and also lastly the famous green light. A symbol of Jay Gatsby's passion and undying love.
