1. If the child is already open to any PAMHS Team at GOSH, please send Fionna a Staff Message on EPIC attaching the name of the child who attends GOSH.

2. If you are aware of a parent or carer who would like to attend but whose child does not currently have an open referral to PAMHS, please send Fionna an email, or ask the parent/carer to send Fionna an email, to mindfulness@gosh.nhs.uk

 Accessing the course on a mobile phone is not ideal. It is better if the parent or carer has access to a desktop computer with a webcam, or a tablet/IPad, but this is not a dealbreaker!

Through a range of therapeutic and community activities we promote resilience, self-awareness, and relationship building to empower more positive life choices. 

The organisation launch campaigns each Eid to bring celebration and joy to inpatients. They aim to raise awareness about children with health conditions and disabilities as well as show parents and care givers that we have not forgotten them! Instagram, Twitter, Email.

The charity offer free activities, events and residential stays regularly both face-to-face and online.

The structure of the group will consist of 6 sessions that will focus on bereavement themes. They plan to utilise dad facilitator's who have experience of child bereavement to lead discussion.

Whilst the sessions will be structured, they hope to maintain the informal atmosphere from the generic Mind the Chaps group. They are aiming to adopt a peer support model and will be very clear that it is not formal therapy.

Sessions will be online and there will be an opportunity to meet/participate in an activity of the dads choice once sessions have been completed.

The team would like to run a pilot group and would like support to identify Dads who might be interested.

The team feel that it will be best for Dads at least 6 months post bereavement. They would like to run the group with up to 8 Dads.

Our children and young people can join the GOSH Young People's Forum (YPF).

What: They YPF is a group of current patients and siblings aged 10 - 21 years old who have a strong voice in helping to improve patient experience at GOSH.

If you attend six meeting or more, you will receive a YPF hoodie!

Opportunities do not stop at the meetings. There are several other ways YPF members can get involved in projects around the hospital such as sitting on interview panels, hospital inspections, conferences, feedback panels for projects around the hospital and annual events.

When: We meet face to face six times a year on Saturdays 10am-4pm, in-between these meetings we regularly have smaller virtual sessions, you can get involved in as much or as little as you like.

Created by young people, for young people, each episode in this series tackles important issues with expert advice and real-life stories.

Chelsea Physic Garden runs a free 9-week programme for adults recovering from physical and mental ill health.

The programme brings together a diverse range of people who spend time together learning about the Garden and being in nature.

The parent group is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which aims to identify the things that are important to the participants in relation to their role as parents, help them to become more aware of thoughts, feelings and situations that may pull them away from parenting in a way that is in line with what matters to them and provide them with new ways of handling these thoughts, feelings and situations so that they and their family can live their life as well as they can. There will also be space to discuss some of the challenges of parenting a child with a long-term health condition as well as opportunities to try out some practical strategies. The group will be an opportunity for parents to come together with other parents to share experiences of living with a long-term health condition.

Parents of young people across all three streams will be invited to the group so it is likely to be mixed health conditions.
