When I say ordinary I'm referring to old retro fighting games like Tekken, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, etc; The main difference you'll notice between these games is the layout; Smash Bros. is a platform fighting game. You're on a floating stage as opposed to being grounded in some random scenery.
