1) Of course me as a mother, wife and worker has trouble dividing my time well when decided to be a student again. There will definitely have times that stressful when my time management is not properly done. Thinking of the workload in the office, already makes me feel discouraged. It is not easy to divide the time equally especially when most of the time is erratic.

2) The next challenge is in completing assignments in groups. First, I need to find the best team among USM distance learners to ensure that the assignment is completed successfully. Second, it is difficult to find a suitable time to discuss group assignments given since everyone's is working. Third, not all of team members agreed with the topic selection. Good day to all of you,
In order to cope with both studies and life responsibilities is multitasking simultaneously. There are two factors which definitely challenged me as a distance learning student.

The first factor is time management. As a student , i should able to schedule time accordingly. This is mainly because, i need to spend time with my loved ones but due to the time constrain i have to limit those time. A higher commitment and disciplinary is needed in order to allocate timing for virtual classes, group discussion and completing assignment.

Secondly, network issue is one of the most common issues faced by students. Furthermore, distance learning student usually needs to look for good network coverage in order to successfully complete the task and assignment given. A low network coverage or data plan or a broken device can be the main reason for students to face issues on technical issues.

The biggest challenge I faced on distance learning is time management. As a full-time working adult and a parent, is a huge challenge to find a balance between work, study, and family. I need a good planning and management of time to ensure that I allocate an adequate time spent with my kid while meeting the work project and study assignments at the same time.
Another difficulty in distance learning is motivation. Without direct interaction with professors and classmates, it is easy for distance learner to feel isolated and demotivated, especially at the point of time when I need guidance and assistance in my study and assignment.

Distance learning does not have a proper learning environment as a campus can provide. I need to seek and create a good learning environment at home so that I can have a full concertation during the Webex session.
Finally, support from family and workplace is another barrier for me in distance learning. Gaining their understanding and support is important especially when I need to be away from work and home during the intensive weeks.

IDEA 1: TIME MANAGEMENT
As a distance learning student, it is critical to be able to manage the time effectively. It is due to difficulties of balancing the time of school and work when they are adjusting to a virtual classes.

IDEA 2: STRESS MANAGEMENT
One of the massive consequence of distance learning is how it has impacted the mental health of student. Anxiety and mental health issues can also have an impact on entire families. They may act out, schedule themselves and not communicate with families as much. They will also spending several extra hours on screen for the meetings. Excessive time on screens has been linked to anxiety and depressions.

IDEA 3: CONNECTIONS OF LECTURER AND COURSEMATE
Distance learning is the student separated from lecturer and peers. It is much more difficult to lecturer to reach out their students if they are having trouble , and they have to deal with bugs in online learning systems as well. Because of this, many students feel left behind.

IDEA 4:CONFUSION
If distance learning student is not able to deal with their mental health problems, they will struggling and unable to continue surviving and succeeding through the foreseeable future. They will start confusing and worrying about their current situation and their futures.

As we known COVID-19 pandemic took the world by surprise. Globally, everything has stopped. Projects have been delayed, workplaces closed and schools shut down. The world seems to have ground to a halt because of the novel coronavirus.

Being a student during the pandemic is very difficult. The situation has escalated as there are less opportunity for meeting with classmates and lecturers as social distancing is highly required to prevent the spread of the Covid 19 virus. The increasing amount of work commitment during the pandemic also makes it more difficult. Intensive courses with packed schedule also makes it difficult for a distant learner like myself. The online learning, distance and continuing education have become a panacea for this unprecedented global pandemic, despite the challenges posed to both educators and the learners. Hence, sometimes studies can be very hard because of the mode of the delivery itself. Therefore, the impact to the student even more from the aspect time management is time to spend to complete all the task and assignment and also time management when the classes and the work overlap. According to Gupta, Hershey and Gaur (2012), time management is a success skill that benefits students. Students who have a greater control over their tasks achieve the sense of satisfaction. Kaushar (2013) argued that good time management makes students to act accordingly. Next, the technical issue that student need to face was part of the challenges thing. Such as internet connecting and the equipment we use. The National Conference of the States Legislature (NCSL) has reported that 20% of college students in the US have issues accessing effective technology such as working laptops and reliable high speed connection to pursue their higher education online. Last, lack of self-motivation is part of the challenges thing that student need to face. For example, easy to get stress and easy to felt down and give up. As an adult with a fulltime job, it is never easy for me to manage my time for study purpose effectively. Work schedule that quite hectic and full every week making me extra tired and easily stress out. Moreover, this causing me so much stress that i cannot sleep properly and this affect my time management. Research shows that effective time management will result in great academic achievement and less anxiety among students. Due to ineffective time manangement, the risk of getting fail is high. One of the challenge that i faced is distance between my living place and the campus. This causing me a great loss because it will never be easy for me to meet the lecturers face to face whenever i needed to see them for further explanation on subjects. Most of classes for distance learning program are done virtually online, causing ineffective communication and feedback between students and lecturers. I found this hard because there are huge gap between students and lecturers that making it almost impossible to achieve a good synchronous communication.
Due to covid situation now, all distance learning student need to attend online classes.This can be quite challenging for students because not all places have a good internet connection and sometime the application used can be crash. Me myself had faced this error for many times while attending classes and this cause lagging and failure in access the webex class. In addition, distance learning program mostly use asynchronous communication that result in unclear instruction given to students. Student will struggle to provide a good presentation or assignment due to this.

Among the challenges i found difficult was that employers did not understand my situation as a student. 1. As a governments servants and sole breadwinner of the family, i have only a single stream of income to pay for all expenses, bills and liabilities. After paying for everything else, the money required to pay my tuition fees can be rather tight.

2. It can be difficult to join a live tuition online class or do a time - based online assignment with sudden and unexpected internet interruptions. This can also create problem to submit assignment when i keep getting kicked out of the system or server.

3. i have 2 children - one 2 years 10 months old and the other approaching 16 months. the constant noise and having to attend to their needs and demands make it difficult to focus on my assignment and studies. Sometimes even written notes and assignments gets torn, scribbled all over or just goes missing.

4. I have the same time as everyone else - 24 hours a day - but this time is spent working full time, managing a family, studying and completing my assignment, and my personal hobbies. Sometimes i have no time left and i am tired and physically drained.
