Since it is mothers day today, brenda is out for the Evening so we are Heading in the City later on to eat.

After flying for over three hours we finally arrived in Dublin at 11:50. After a quick trip with the bus we meet our host family for the first time. Phyllis greeted us with a very strong handshake and a smile on her face. She is so kind. After introducing her partner Sandra, we got to give them their presents and they we're so happy! Then we got to unpack our stuff and get comfortable with our own little room. Phyllis told us to go have fun and meet our friends, which was the plan, so we went to the trainstation and drove to the Inner-city and met with our friends. Everywhere I look theres this Irish feeling I get, thats making me realize that I am not anymore in Austria. But thats not important, what is important is what's coming tomorrow and thats our first day in Ireland!
-Felix Nemas
-Nikolaus Legenstein

Today was an amazing day. The flight went smoothly and we arrived on time. After receiving a warm and sunny welcome to this beautiful isle, we were picked up by Brian and Fiona, our host parents. They showed us the small and lovely town of Swords. Afterwards we got to know their cozy house and their super cute dog Gizmo, who immediately found a way into our hearts. In the afternoon we explored the town and met some new people with interesting life stories.

Oh, we just got called to dinner, see you tomorrow!

After getting up early, the flight went right. We met our host family. Their bathroom is it's own science, but they are nice and friendly, just Buster the dog is old and forgetful. They semmed happy about our present. However their last guests were from Styria and brought Kernöl too. 😭 In the afternoon we checked out the trashy neighborhood and met with the gang in the downtown. P.S. Today was "good weather" because it started to rain not before afternoon. 😁 Phrases of the day: Lads, lovely (lufeliiii)

The first view of Ireland was very beatiful, unfortunately it started to rain later. When we made our selves comfortable with the nice host family , we took the bus to downtown to meet friends there. After that we were eating out in a restaurant for dinner. By the way it took two hours to reach the downtown with the public transportation.

So, after everyone got to sleep between 0,1-5 hours, all of us started the great journey at the airport of Graz. Obviously, everyone was very excited and it was wonderful to see the sky turn from black to red to blue. After some time, the flight to Frankfurt started. About two hours and a long walk to the next terminal later, the final flight to Ireland had begun...

When we arrived in Ireland, we picked up our luggages, got into the bus and went to a position, where our host families waited for us. When we arrived, Priya and Nick, the hosts, showed us everything we needed to know. There are also their three young children as well as a French girl and two Italians, equalling to 11 people in the house (and a dog). In the afternoon, we went to the local park and met some classmates (data protection!). Lunch and dinner were satisfying. There really wasn't a ✨word of the day✨
- Vincent, Florian, Benjamin

So, our day started at 4 a.m because we had to get up early to catch our first flight from Graz to Frankfurt. The flight went just as planed and we were really happy to see the sunrise as we were in the plane. When we arrived at the Frankfurt airport we had to wait 2 hours until we were able to get on the next plane. The flight to Dublin was twice as long as the first one but luckily nothing went wrong. When we finally arrived in Dublin we drove to our next destination with a shuttle bus where we got picked up by our host family. They showed us around our new home and explained everything we needed to know. Then we drove into the city by the train and explored Dublin for at least 2 hours. After that we went back home, had dinner and relaxed for a bit. In the afternoon we went back into the city to meet up with our friends and had fun at the small amusement park in town. When it got late we took the train back home and went to sleep.
It was a great day and I hope that we will have more days just like this one.
By Paul Schantl
      Lukas H.
Dominik W.

The day began very early around 4 a.m. as we had to catch a very early flight. Arriving at the airport we checked in our luggage and got through the security check. Soon after that the first flight already started and only about 1.5 hours later we were in Frankfurt from there we had to find the right gate and then wait 2 hours for our connection flight. Luckily no one got lost so everyone got on board to the final flight to Dublin which took twice as long as the first one. Arriving at the Dublin airport we got our luggages and got to a shuttle bus which got us to a meet-up point where our host families picked us up. After a bit waiting Aoife finally arrived and picked us up first she showed us how to get to the train station for the following day after that some shortcuts to get home faster. Arriving home we got to meet her husband Paul and also her 2 little Children. They showed us everything in the house and then we went out to meet-up with some friends after some small orientation complications we finally got to our destination where we met our friends. Sadly we had not a lot of time as we wanted to catch dinner at home so we got back home again. Arriving home we waited a half hour and then ate dinner which was some chicken and wedges. After that we watched some videos and got to bed later on so the first day already ended.
- Moritz R.
- Laurenz H.

Upon arrival, a bus pickes us up, to rendevouz with all the host families. From there on, our host mom showed us our house, the next bus stop and, most importantly: a shortcut to McDonnald's. Later that day we went out to explore the city center a little bit with friends. We had late lunch, and after a long bus ride back home, we were served dinner.

As we were fascinated by Nandos we had to go there again after the school and the informative city tour which took us around the famous places in Dublin. It was also unbelivable delicious today.

But we wanted to finish our mission to try the fast food restaurants wich are also in Austria, so we and Jonas and Felix went to Burger King and we were positively suprised. It's much better than in Austria, but not to compare with Nandos.

Apart from the eating we were in some shops and we were walking in the park and in the city.

Autor: Michi
Edited by: Máté

Day 2:
Our day started with a „luvely“ breakfast. At 8:30 a.m. we met at the Oscar Wilde Statue so that we could meet the Babel School representives. They showed us the school and we had our first few lessons at the language school. We still don‘t know the name of our teacher as he didn‘t want to introduce himself. After school we had some free time. We used the break to get our selves some food and coffee since the lunch package was not enough. Later a sympathetic tour guide showed us some famous memorials and buildings in Dublin. When we returned at our host family we packed our things to play some football and to workout. In the evening we had dinner with Brenda, our host mother. More over we went to Mc Donalds to meet Alex and get some drinks. Over all our second day at Dublin was pretty cool!
Felix F
Constantin R
Moritz G

But finally, we made it and met some friends. We went to a supermarket and zoo-shop. Until now, the weather was really nice, but then it started to rain and we got really wet.
We got back to our host family (Maria, her husband, Sophie (15), Dean (13) and Ruby (dog)) at around 5:45 pm. Then after laying in bed for a couple of minutes Sandra called us for breakfast. We ate some toast and cereals with milk. It was time to go. We had a little hurry to catch our train to the Inner-city. There we met at the Oscar Wilde Memorial. School started at 9:00 am and we had a little break between. At 12:20 am school was done and we had one hour free time. We went to a Coffee shop. After that it was time for a tour through the Inner-city of Ireland with the chillest dude we meet so far. Then we had fish and chips in a really good looking restaurant. We went home and waited for dinner. After dinner we went out to meet Ian and Dominik. And that’s how we finished our second day!!!!!!!!!!

We started the day with breakfast after it we had to catch the bus line 27 which leads us right into the heart of Dublin where we had to meet at 8:30 at the Oscar Wild statue which is right in front of language school, under unlucky circumstances we arrived 20 minutes late but still made it to language school. Language school was definitely worth it as well as the Dublin tour after, the story of Ireland and Dublin is quite interesting and you can see a lot of memorials while walking around in the city. After the tour we just hang around with friends.

From there, it was just a short walk to the Babel School, where we were introduced to the system and did what? Exactly! English. In our free hour, we had some lunch.

At about 1:30pm, we started the city walking tour, where we've visited many sightseeing attractions, like the Molly Malone Statue or the Trinity College. In our free afternoon, we went shopping and then took the train to a park almost outside of Dublin. It was getting late, which is why we took the double decker bus back home and soon after had some dinner. We didn't learn any new words... HOWEVER, here's one cool word we totally and absolutely know the meaning of and didn't just see in the train: frithshóisialta

We familiarised ourselfs with the Trafficsystem, after running a bit late. 🤫 But to our benefit the Language school didn't started imediatelly and everything was okay. Anyways school was not too special and our theacher was kind of strange, but we were told it 's just his humor. During sparetime we strolled through the city and got to see an American marching band. Next up was a citywalk with a local, who has been trying to escape Irland multiple times, but couldn' t get it done. He presented in a rather entertaining way and gave us insider tips. We finished the day with amazing selfcooked dinner. Hopefully we' re punctual tomorrow. 😃
Phrases of the day: brilliant, harsh, clinsher

The day started with a breakfast, after that we packed our lunch packs in our backpack and hurried to the train. After reaching the train we discussed the fasted way to reach the memorial after we agreed to a way we waited for the train to arrive at Dublin Pearse. Arriving there we went straight to the memorial. Ofcourse we were on time unlike some others. After waiting a half hour the teachers from the babel school arrived and we could start the school day. These classes were pretty useless as we did nothing. After the school ended we had some free time until 1:15pm there we watched some rich kids from Florida University play with their instruments and dance a little bit. After this ended the free time was pretty much over so we got back to the meet-up point at the Oscar Wilde Memorial. There we waited for the Guides. The guided tour was pretty nice as the guide was pretty funny. After the tour ended we went back to the train station on the way to that we saw 2 people having some nice crack/craig. Like it surprised us cause around us was everything normal and as busy as it gets and then there’s a dark corner with people taking drugs. Sadly I missed the opportunity to take a luvely picture and I didn’t want to make them angry. Arriving at the train station we were at the wrong side so we had to take the other one though the train already arrived in less than a minute so 20 minutes after that we were already at home. Soon after that we had dinner and then met some friends. All in all a eventful day.
-Moritz R
-Laurenz H.

After getting up at 6 o'clock, we took the first bus to Dublin. We met at the Oscar Wilde Statue and got to know our language school. The time flew by, filled with interesting informations about Ireland and the other classmates. During the lunch break we browsed through Dublin inner city and ended up in a cute little gardening shop, where we also grabbed a coffe.

In the afternoon we had a city tour with a really nice and funny guide, who told us more about Dublin's history. Afterwards we went shopping and filled our bellies with spicy schicken.

Coming back to our host family turned out a little bit more complicated than expected. We got off the bus and seemingly ended up in the wilderness! It was a real adventure to get a taxi bringing us home.

We are looking forward to exploring the city further tomorrow.

See you,
Paula

The day started pretty early and we were really tired. At 7am breakfast was ready and it did not taste very well. After breakfast we took the train to the Oscar Wilde statue because there was the meeting point before school. At the Oscar Wilde statue we had met our teachers and then got split up in to groups for the English lessons. Our teacher was friendly but suspicious to because he did not tell us his name. (Could be a terrorist)-> do not take it to serious😉. After morning school we went to a cafe near the Liffey to buy something to eat and to drink. In the early afternoon our tour started with a funny and friendly tourguide. The tour took two hours and we learned a lot of the Irish history. I have to say the Irish are a bit strange but really funny. Before dinner Nicolas and I went to park with some friends to do some workout or running. We trained nearly one and a half hours and were a bit tired after that. In the evening we got our spicy dinner which was really hot🥵 and we hold Kenny the hamster for the first time in our hands. Al in all it was a pretty cool day and we are looking forward to the other ones!
Alex and Nicolas

The day began again very early. We woke up at 6:30am and then we went to have breakfast .For breakfast, like every day we got some serials with milk. After breakfast we went to the train station and drove to school. We met at the Oscar Wilde statue. Then we had lessons until 12:20. In our english lessons we learned about immigration and a lot of new vocabulary. After school we went to an nice restaurant in the middle of the city. After lunch we went with the tram to south of Dublin. There we walked along a river and went through a forest. After being in the nature for a bit, we took the bus back to the city because we had to meet in front of a pub. In the pub we met Steven. Steven is an Irish singer. In the pub we were singing a lot of songs, and were clapping some rhythm. After the pub singing we took the bus back home. The bus was very overcrowded. It took us nearly an hour to get home. Then we were eating dinner and talking a bit with the mother of our hostmother. Our hostmother was leaving because she went to a concert.
Nicolas and Alex

In the morning we were surprised by the rare sun. It shined lovely into our room and started a day ful of fun. After language school we went to the Mongolian Barbecue for lunch. Darragh the guide from yesterday recommanded us that and it was as great as he promised. 😋 Having satisfied our hunger we did a bit of sight seeing and went to the sauthern part of the city. There we had a little walk along a small river. Back in the downtown we all met and went into the pub for the singalong. We drank a pint of Guinness (non-alcoholic, no worries mum 😉) and had a lot of fun singing together with the two musicians. And so another day went by quickly...
Phrases of the day: "one, two, tree", sláinte, pint

The classes endet at 12:20 and we had freetime till 3:45. Felix went to Nandos with Juliane, Consti strolled around in the city with some of his friends. In the meantime Paul and I went to Starbucks and discovered some cool vintage stores. We met up with the teachers and the other students at 3:45 at the Ha'penny Bridge. There we went into a Pub and had a Pub Singalong Session. It was a lot of fun and we tried some non alcoholic Guiness, which was very expensive. After the Singalong Session we went back to our host family and had dinner. Later on we met our friends and hung out at the McDonalds.
-Moritz G
-Consti R
-Felix F

Today is was a bit sunny in the morning. We had morning classes from 9:00 until 12:20 a.m.. A break is also included. We eat our lunch while break. Most of the time we were talking which is very herlpful. In the last three days we talked so much english that we slowly forget some german words. After language school we got a second lunch at nandos and went shopping and to starbucks. At 4 p.m. the whole group met up again because we had our pub singalong sasion. First we didn‘t know what to expect but we were suprised. We sang some traditional irish songs and it was a lot of fun. A part of those singalongs is the irish beer guinness which we tried (of course the non alcoholic version). It tasted like a mix of beer and soysauce but it wasn‘t too bad. Later we drove home. At home we had a nice chat with our host family. We talked about diffrences between the irish and austrian education systeme.
Additionally, it did‘t rain a lot to day😃.
Juliane

During our break lunchbreak we went into a few Secound Hand Shops. That was an interesting insight, as there are not so many of them in Austria. In the afternoon we had a singalong in a pub on the program. That was our highlight today. We sang, clapped a lot and had a lot of fun. Some, including Carina, have drunk something similar to a beer without alcohol. They said it was a very unusual taste and similar to soja sauce. To end the day, we went for a run.
That was another day with Carina and Lilo in Dublin. :)

Just like yesterday, we made our way to the Oscar Wilde memorial. After a quick few hours at the language school, we ate something at a barbeque our tour guide had recommended the day before. Later we slowly made our way through the town center along grafton street. In the late afternoon we all met at a pub to sing along to some irish folk music. There we even got to try non-alcoholic Guinness... Unfortunately my friend was (in my opinion) right, when he said it tasted more like soy-sauce.

It took some time until I felt better but it lucked went away after school.
After school we went shopping and Michi was really proud of himself that he could buy a pair of jeans for 16€.

At 4p.m. we went to a pub on the riverside called the Ha'penny Bridge Inn and had a singalong with two musicians. They played typical irish music and we also sang some songs and had a pint of Guinness (alcohol free).
- Máté and Michi

The day started off with the school. There we learned more about Ireland and discussed policies, with some interesting words like MOAT, VIBRANT or SEDATE. After that, we spent some free time with lunch (Recommendation: Gallagher's Boxty), shopping at Jervis and walking around the city.

At 4pm, we all went to the pub called " Ha'Penny Bridge Inn ". There were two musicians and we also had the opportunity to get some non-alcoholic Guinness Beer. It was a Pub-Singalong with traditional Irish music and most importantly... FUN! It was very funny and everyone clapped and (more-or-less) sang along. Then we cruised around and did in fact meet some Germans in the bus. After a satisfying pizza-dinner, the day was complete
-Vincent, Benjamin, (Florian)

So today was the big day. Finally we arrived in Ireland. We both have never been to Ireland so it was really special. The flight was very fun and the view was lovely. Then we met our host family. They are really nice and care so much about us. They have three little boys who seem very nice and another host student from Italy who also seem to be really kind. After arriving safely we decided to explore the surroundings and met up with some friend for lunch. Afterwards we decided to go into some stores which was really fun🛍In the evening we had dinner with the whole family which was really great. The food was impressingly delicious and we had a nice chat with the family. Later the family got visited by the sister and mom of the host mother. Fun fact: Her sister and me (Shari) have the same birthday😁.
We also talked with them about a lot of things and then we were allowed to taste some self-made olive oil from italy. The host student's family make olive oil and she broughg some with her. We tried it with bread and it was really tasty😋 The chat with the family continued for two hours. It was a really nice and enjoyable day
Have fun,
Shari and Eyleen

After everyone arrived we visited two cathedrals, which were both exquisit🥰 we took some pictures and then headed to the Jenie Johnston museum, which actually was pretty interesting! While we waited for school to start we bought some donuts and went to Starbucks☕️ after walking around, school started, where we learned a little about Shakespeare and his plays. Afterwards we walked some more and then took the bus home. Dinner today was ravioli, which was delicious but our Host mom put a LOT of cheese on it, which was interesting ☕️ but not bad at all. Were ending the night with some Netflix🤞
Peace and Love Felicia and Pia ❤️

After a looooong night and a delayed bus drive, we finally arrived at the Spire (not Sprite). It was so tall that if you wanted to take a selfie standing directly infront of it, the top would not be visible, because that thing is 120 meters or about 390 feet tall. Then we walked to the oldest church in Ireland (my boy sleeping jesus) and then to the St. Patrick's Park, where we've shot some class photos.

After walking about 5 kilometers, we arrived at the Jeanie Johnston replica. We're not going through all the history, but it's an interesting boat and it was quite fascinating to visit. In our free time, we got ourselves some lunch at visited a MAGIC : THE GATHERING® store (take that Maxi).

After a while, we had school, where we were prepared for tomorrow's street survey. In our left time, we either spent time in the park or relaxed at home.

It's a 121m tall rod which stands at the "main square" (O'Connel Street) of Dublin.
We started with a walking tour through the city to come across some sights, like the oldest and the second oldest church of Dublin. Both of them were built in gothic architecture.
After our short trip we walked to the Jeanie Johnson. That's a ship with a lot of history which is located on the east side of the city. A nice guide told us the story of the ship and gave us a little tour.
Asides from that, we could also see the Harp Bridge from there. It's a dutch bridge with an interesting architectural design.

In the afternoon we had 3 hours of class and later we took a bus, like always, to get to know some new places.

The day started off by running late because the bus was too crowded to take in more customers. We met up at the shire to walk around a little bit. After some time we arrived at the Jeannie Johnson a boat that brought lots of Irish people to Canada/Amerika. It is special because no one died on it and was way cheaper than the other boats at that time. A guide showed us around and told us some facts. We had some free time afterwards got some food and went to a magic store. At 13:40 school started again. After that we went home by train to eat dinner before we went to the park nearby to play frisbee with Benjamin and Florian.
-Moritz R.
-Laurenz H.

Today we met up at the Spire again and then took the bus to a 🔥gaelic games Club 🔥 where they taught us how to Play the 3 Irish Games called the Gaelic Games . It was so much fun and cool to experience Irish Sport Culture. We both enjoyed it a lot. It was pretty aggressive though😃afterwards we took the Bus to the Babel school and went to the nearby Park to relax and have lunch with the other Girls. Today for school we (pia,Felicia,Linda,Nora)had to Interview irish people and tourists , which was a lot of fun and we met some cool people who were willing to answer our questions. Afterwards we had to say goodby to our teacher, who had taught us for two days , which was kinda sad because we all really liked him. After school we wandered around the City with our friends and went into urban outfitters where I (felicia) spent some 😃 Money on a zip up hoodie. Right now were stuck on the bus , because there was an incident in the tunnel we have to go through. Were gonna survive though 🤞🍀
Peace and Love Felicia& Pia ❤️

As always our day started at 7 am. After a quick breakfast we ran to trainstation and took the train to the spire. After everyone came, we took the bus at 9 am and drove to an Gaelic games club. At the Gaelic games club we were introduced to the two Gaelic games. The games are Irish football and Hurling. Irish football is nearly the same like football. Hurling is played with racquet and a hart ball that can fly 180km/h. After the Gaelic games, we took a bus back to the Babel academy. At the Babel academy we met our teacher Jim, he explains us what we are going to do today. Today we had to ask strangers on the street about a topic. Our question was ,, What would you do if we give you 1000€“. We chose this question because you can learn a lot about a character with a question like that. We even talked to people from Brazil and Chile. After school we went home with the DART. Alex stayed with some friend in town and Nicolas went for a run
Nicolas and Alex

Today it happend to be the busstation. After a failed attemt to get the bus by one of our teachers, we were heading towards the Gallic sportscenter. Then an athlet, who meets at the club every week for the last 40 years to live his passion, gave us an introduction to the "tree" gallic sports. Afterwards we even played each one for like 10 minutes. The games were as chaotic as it could possibly get and they felt like mortal combat. To our surprise no one got injured.👍.
Then we finished our day with language school and legally anoyed people on the streets with surveys. 😃
Phrases of the day: very fair played, slither(.io)

For us, this was a completely new experience and exciting to try. It was a bit aggressive but it was a lot of fun. After a short break we went to school. There we prepared for a street survey. After the preparation, we went out of school and interviewed some people about public transport. It was really interesting to hear people's opinions. After school we walked around the city and explored new neighborhoods again and enjoying our time in Ireland.
That was another day with Lilo and Carina in Dublin.💫

Today, we got up early to catch the train to the spire right at the city centre. After realising we could have gotten there without making a detour (and waiting) at the spire, we all took a bus to a gaelic-games club. There, we are greeted by an experienced athlete whose mission it is to get us familiar with a variety of ancient gaelic sports games. Although we had great concerns at first, nobody was seriously hurt, and we all had good "craic" (Yes, I did look it up online). When we were finished with those games, we quickly took a bus back to school, where we undertook a street survey on a busy shopping street, annoying everyone in our path with a quick few questions...

~Dominik D.
~Ian F.

It was the fourth day and the good thing was that we could sleep 15min longer yeaaaaaa! Nicolas and I were thankful for that haha. After breakfast and the train trip to the spire, we went as a big group for a small tour in the city center. We had visited two churches which were build up by the vikings before our group had the tour on the Jeannie Johnston boat. This boat is a historical boat! You ask why? I tell you. In this boat nobody died in the long journeys from Ireland to North America. It was used to save people from the big plague in where 1-1.5 million people lost there lifes. In the tour we learned all about the ship and the special factors which were important for the reason that nobody died. The tourguide was sooooo nice, funny and friendly and I have to say that is not a thing that you can find everywhere. In the early afternoon I went with some friends to KFC for a tiny snack. Meanwhile Nicolas went with Rafael and Maximiliam to a beautiful terrace with a gorgeous view over whole Dublin. Later in the day the school had started and and we prepared for the street interviews that will happen tomorrow. In the evening we had a delisious dinner and at 8 o'clock I met with some friends to take a walk. All in all it was an exiting day and I'll "see" you tomorrow!
Alex and Nicolas :)

At 5:00pm we finished school and after that we stayed in the city for a while. Un the evening we drove back to our host family and ate dinner (some kinde of stew) with them. We met at the spire at 8:30 a.m and hopped on the bus which brought us to the Gaelic games sports center. One of the club members explained us the rules of the 3 different games( gaelic football, hurling, handball). Later on we went on the pitch and tried our best. It was a lot of fun. (Except hurling it was kind of a mess as there were way too many people on the pitch) As soon as we were finished we made our way back to the city center to check out the food market. There have been lots of international food stores from all over the world. The smell was amazing. In school we met our new teacher Bryan who was way better than the other one. We had to do a survey on street in order to improve our social skills. After school we met some friends and had dinner at a burger restaurant.
Felix F
Consti R
Moritz G

But that’s not all of it, our hostmother is also mad at us.

This day started very unlucky. We overslept the alarm and had to run for the last bus to the Spire. Being a bit late we arrived and directly commuted to a really big sports area located outside the city centre. The trainer there told us some interesting facts about the typical Gaelic sports and we also lernt how to play hurling, handball and football. Seperated in two teams we played on the fields and even though I did not expect that, it was fun!

After a very short lunch break we had afternoon classes. Our teacher decided to do some street surveys, which were really interesting. For example, we had a talk with two young girls who told us which app to use to arrive on time with public transport!

Coming home was as always a quite stressful activity. We managed to order a taxi but it didn't arrive on time. However, we were able to come back home and ate with our host family.

See you soon,
Paula

There we got teached how to play Gaelic Football, Handball and Hurling in a short crashcourse. It was really funny but exhausting too. When the course was over my friends and I went to Lidl to get something to eat.
In the afternoon we had class. We surveyed some people in the streets about Dublin and Irland in general.
When we finished school we decided to drive to the Google Headquarters of Europe. The design and architecture of the buildings were fascinating!
Later, we randomly visited the far north of the City, called Malahide.

We look foward to tomorrow :)
-Laurin S.
-Markus W.
-Lukas P.

Another great day and another delayed bus... wonderful. Today, we again met at the Spire, which is very(not) difficult to see. After a not delayed bus drive, we finally arrived at a place, where we would soon be playing the gaelic games called gaelic football, handball and Hurling. Very difficult combinations of other games and sports, but very cool. Sadly, the went by much too fast.

In the city, near the Oscar-Wilde Memorial, there was a food market with some delicious street food from all over the world. After a while, school began. We had to go on the streets and ask strangers some questions and observe pretty much everything. After that, we would compare our results and... that's all. Tomorrow will be the last school day in Ireland, so this is very exciting. Back to today, we didn't really do many more things after that. Just some walking through the city, playing in the park and enjoying the time here. Food was good as always. By the way, there was a word of the day : lettuce (just don't ask)
-Vincent, Benjamin

There we learned about the history of the Gaelic Games and after that we also played them. It was very funny and tiring. Afterwards we had some free time and then school. I’m school we had to talk to strangers on the street about a specific topic, like a street survey. That was a real challenge because many people didn’t want to talk to us. After school I went into Dublin with my friends and got something to eat. So to summ it all up it was a very cool day. Then we split in to three groups and rode to our meetkng point at a club to play the gealic games!! Overexcited, we were introduced to the three sports of the gealic games. They had Gealic football, handball and herling, which was my favorite one.
Nikolaus and I were really tired, but we still had to go to school, ugh. Before we went there Lukas and I got some Korean food which was totally worth the prize!
At school the whole class had to do a street survey, which was quiete the blast. Afterwards we wondered around the city and ate some dinner in split groups. I got a gift for my family on the way, I think it was a scam but I can't change that know.
Slowly but surely we started to go to a train station and ended our day!

Day started early in the morning with breakfast and reaching the trainstation earlier than the days before. So we were punctual at the spire. At 9 the guides arrived and we went straight to the sport club. There it started with playing some weird squash (gaelic handball) as its played without a racket. After that we had a instruction to the gaelic games (hurling and gaelic football). We also got to play both. So hurling is just icehockey on the green and with some weird racket. And even weirder rulings. Gaelic football is actually pretty weird but still fun. After that we went straight to the language school where we had to do a street survey. Eventually the classes ended and we got home to dinner.
-Moritz R
-Laurenz H

We also got to taste the restaurant Nandos which was recommended us from Michi. It was a real success, although Carina ordered the spicy chips instead of the normal one😅.
Thereafter we went to buy some stamps for our postcards. As we finally arrived at the post office we couldn't help laughing about the fact that it only was open 24 hours because it was just a post box. 😜So we made a half an hour trip for nothing but luckily a few nice evening pictures.
Tomorrow we are going to visit the seaside and hopefully taking another great pictures.
See you tomorrow again 🤗.
Bye, Carina and Lilo

After class we made our way to urban outfitters with some friends . As it was recommended to us , we walked to nandos for lunch. We had chips, that were reallyy spicy because of the pepper they put on them or something ?, + haloumi sticks, which were delicious. Then we wandered around the city and the others ate some overpriced icecream. Afterwards we walked to the shopping Centre , where we went up to the parkdeck, which was recommended to us by a friend, to enjoy the view, though it wasnt to special. We then walked to the nearby Park, and watched the birds 🍀 After some time we went to our busstop, because we were freazing and went home. We got Pizza for Dinner, which was awesome.
Peace and Love Felicia & Pia ❤️

Saturated, we were sight seeing, shopping and visting the curt building, when it suddenly began to rain out of buckets. We had a different teacher today but he was a really funny guy and fun to listen to.
After that we had a free afternoon, so we decided to go shopping for some souvenirs and for snacks which you can't get back home. I bought a t-shirt and some Guinness glasses while Michi bought stuff for his whole family and he also bought hot sauces from Nandos. The problem with going shopping here in Dublin is that everything is so expensive compared to Graz. For example a scoop of ice cream here cost around five Euros in every ice cream shop!! But it's not just the ice cream, everythimg is very expensive, so I can't imagine how bad it is for the people living here long term.
Apart from the extreme prices, it was very windy today. The weather was lovely but the wind was so strong it could almost blow you away. I hope it's not that windy in Howth tomorrow (it probably will be).
-Máté, Michi

So, this was a very adventurous day. First of all, we had our last school session in Ireland (Goodbye, Jim), which was really NICE/LOVELY (if you know, you know). After that, we split up. Florian and Benjamin walked around the city, ate some lunch and then went to a MAGIC:THE GATHERING® tournament. Meanwhile, Vincent skipped lunch and headed directly to the National Gallery of Art, which wasn't that unique, but still worth a visit and had a cafeteria and a shop included (free entry, obviously). Then he met the teachers as well as Tim and Michi. They went to the National Museum of Archaeology, with archaelogical finds ranging from early bronze age to the middle ages. After a while, they quickly went to the National Museum of History. There you can find stuffed animals and other little insects, corals etc. Because we weren't able to contact each other, Vincent had to go home at around 5pm. There we met up with all the others from our class. At first, some time was spent with walking around this village and taking a second breakfast. Afterwards our teacher guided us directly to the sea and we went up the hills to see the clipps. It was an incredible view!

Unfortunately, it suddenly started to rain when we were on our way back. We had to hurry up and went quickly back to Howth, where we finally got released;).

In the afternoon, we enjoyed Dublin's beautiful inner city for the last time. Now on the bus back home, we are already missing this cozy and remarkable place and hope to visit it in near future again.

By Paula

This day started with good news: It was the last of language school;). We had a new teacher and played some funny games.

Afterwards we had a free afternoon, where we went to the Trinity College library. Have you ever been there? If not, it's a real must have! They have very old books from many authors around the world, but the biggest attractions are the Books of Kells. They are ancient religious books which were decorated beautifully. The only improvable thing is the ticket purchase: You have to get them online. Luckily, our teacher reserved them for us. Without this help, we probably wouldn't have experienced this.

After going shopping in the streets of Dublin, we took the bus home. Because of its unpunctuality, we got to know a really nice family and had an exciting talk on our way back. They told us about their move from Simbabwe to Dublin and more interesting things from their life. This was one of our highlights from our journey in Ireland!

By Paula

Today was a really cool day. Today we got up at 7:30 am and then we took the train to Howth. Since there were not many people at our meeting point at 10:00 am, we were allowed to explore the island on our own for an hour. We decided to use the time wisely and went to the seaside. After everyone came at 11 o’clock, we could finally start our tour around the island. At the beginning we walked along the road, but as longer the tour lasted, the more shaky it got. The view was beautiful all the time, on one side you could see the sea, one the other side you could see meadows and rocks. After 1 hour we made a break, not knowing that it would start raining in 10 minutes. It started to pour, but luckily it stopped to rain after 5 minutes. After we walked another hour, we ended our tour at 2 pm and then we were allowed to do whatever we wanted. We went eating fish and chips with some friends. After lunch we decided to go back home. After we relaxed a little bit I went for run and Alex went shopping. In the evening we had one last time dinner with our host parents.
Nicolas and Alex

We started the day early and met up at the spire at 9 am. A bus took us to a sportsclub. I couldn’t participate trying the games because I was getting a cold. First the others tried gaerlic handball which is similar to squash but without a rocket. Later a coach informed us about two other games. Gaerlic football and hurling. Later the others tried both of them. It looked like a lot of fun. Gaerlic football is basicly normal soccer without many rules and you can use your hands. Hurling is more complicated. They use rockets and smash the ball with it. After getting to know those for us new sports we had a short break and school. school was over at 5 pm. We drove home I took some medicine and fell into bed with my hurting thoat and a cold.
Juliane

Today was a really lovely day: we got up at 8am and had some toast for breakfast. After that, we met up at the translation in Howth. First, we had some freetime - so we went to the beach and took some really nice photos. Then we went up the "mountain" (it's more like a hill, but the Irish people call it a mountain). The walk took us around 3hours, but it we had a really, really wonderful view and we took a lot of photos. The weather was also really nice; it was warm and sunny. At the time we were already walking back to the train station, it started to rain really much. We all got wet, but it was kind of funny.
When we got back to the train station we bought some cake, because we all were already really hungry. After that, we drove back to the city and spend our afternoon there. We ate our last dinner with the host family (spaghetti) and after that we stayed in our bedroom and watched a movie. It was a really lovely last day in Dublin.
Kisses, Nora and Linda

Our day started with a train ride to Howth🚃. There we visited the small harbor and went to a pretty market. There we bought our second breakfast, a piece of cake😋.The way up hill was beautiful but right by the cliffs it was indescribable. We enjoyed it very much and were all thrilled. Every minute we took a photo to capture the beautiful experience. But that changed very quickly. The beautiful weather with the blue sky changed to a dark gray and it began to rain heavily. So we all got very wet. So after the end of our tour we drove home and put on something dry again. Thereafter we drove into the city. That's where we sent our postcards. Then we went on to Blackrock. There we looked around for a moment and already went back home. So ended the last day with Carina and Lilo in Dublin. :)

Let's reflect on todays happenings. We were pretty prepared for today, as we even got up earlier, so that we were able to collect a Geocache right in the morning. Maybe it were these unusual circumstances, of beeing on time, that lead to delayed teachers. Anyways our destination, Howth, is an animated city (there is one Bus stop and one trainstation) and has a booming fishmarket. There we enjoyed a hiking tour throght a gorgeous landscape with oceanic view on the isle. Yes, there were some times it showered, but eventually nobody died. After the regular activity we orderd some fish and chips, it showered and we made our way back to the hostfamily. Great day
Phrase of the day: twaddle vs linger

We hiked on a cliff and the view was gorgeous. Furthermore, the weather was pretty amazing until we reached the summit. It started to rain and luckily I had my rain coat and my umberella with me. But even the rain could not ruin the trip. On the contrary, the rain made the day even more adventurous. We took a lot of pictures and enjoyed the whole trip.

The day started with a later woke up then the other incredible days of the week in Dublin. At 10 am we met up with the whole group at the trainstation Howth. From there we hiked up to the mountain peak of the island where we got the greatest view. We also did a break on top of the island. Unfortunately it started raining, so we went back to the trainstation. After that we had freetime. Of course my friends and I decided to eat out the last time in Dublin. Michael recommended the very speacial Nando’s restaurant. It was very delicious, thank you Michael. In the evening we were enjoying the last few hours
and went back home. What a great time here in Dublin with my friends!

Today we could finally sleep in... Well longer than usual anyways. When we reallized, we actually had plans for the day, we quickly downed a bowl of cereal and made our way to Howth. Howth is a truly magnificent part of Dublin, complete with a lively fishing village/ market, a port and the most gorgeous looking parts of nature you will see around here. After scouting out the area for some nice photo spots, all of us started to make our way around Howth. Although weather was more unstable today, we still spent most our time in warm sunshine. When the trip ended, we grabbed some of the best fish and chips we ever tasted from the matket and made our way home, to finally get some rest.

~Dominik D.
~Ian F.

Now this was an emotional (a little bit) last day in Dublin. We were a bit late, but the teachers too, because they were in the same train. And the view out of the train onto the coast give you that North Sea feeling. Anyways, after we met, we had a litter break and then walked to the coast. After a while, we then began to walk around the cliffs of the peninsula, with phenomenal views included. But as soon as we began to come closer to the Baily Lighthouse, a huge rainstorm hit us. It was almost impossible to do anything and the risk of dying rose to maximum levels. Gladly, (as far as we know) no one (for now) died. But sadly... we didn't get to see the lighthouse 😭. After another long walk straight through the peninsula, we finally arrived at the meeting point, and after searching for a place to eat something ✨fishy✨, we decided to go back to the city and eat there (Recommendation : Harbourmaster). And as silly as we are, we wanted to buy some clothes or something, which is why we went to the Hard Rock Café, just to find nothing interesting and having to take a much longer ride back home, than before 😪. Nothing important happened after that, other than the dinner. The phrases of the day : dementia, one euro, lobster.
Goodbye Dublin 👋
- Vincent, Benjamin

On our last day we woke up at 8 a.m and had a really nice breakfest. Then we got ready for our todays trip. We went to Howth. When we arrived by train we had to wait 1 more hour until the trip started, in the meantime we walked to the bay wich was pretty cool. After that we grouped up again and our walk on the small mountain started. At first the weather was great and it was really hot but suddenly it began to rain. The rain was a bit annoying but also kind of fun. We walked for 2 or 3 hours and after that we had some free time . In our free time we went back into the city wich was pretty fun. In the evening we had dinner at home and right after that we met up again with our friends.
It was a great day.
By Paul Schantl
Lukas H.
Dominik W.

While we were eating our food, we talked about the sea and things were going to see. Than we drove with the train to the meating Point. I think we were a bit late. But it doesn‘t matter. So the cliff walk was ok .As my hobby is hiking, it wasn‘t really challenging for me. Maybe I was a bit too fast for the teachers. After the Cilff walk we went home and had dinner and this was our day.

By Guppi

It was the long hike along the side of the mountain, but the view made it atleast a little better. Half-way through we got a little break and it started to rain heavily! Everyone got wet, especially Jonas, but beacuse of the rain we took a shortcut to come home earlier. Home again we chilled and packed our stuff for tomorrow! For dinner we got a WHOLE PAN full of pasta, which was all gone in a few minutes. In the evening some of our friends meet us and we started wondering around the places. After that we ended our day with a good night sleep!

But the main reason we went there was the walking tour around the penninsula and on a cliff. It was no problem though the sun came out a few minutes later.
After that Michi and Jonas eat some muscles. Michi really like then and ate all of them. The Busdriver is an old patroitic and told us some stories about irish history and about the geography/sights we passed. Our first destination was the Clonmacnoise monastery. That at that's a ruin near a flooded river, which created a beautiful image. After a little guided tour and taking some pictures, we went to another picture worthy place: The cliffs of Moher! The beautiful landmass rises up to hights over 200 meters and we were lucky that the weather was good! Then we went onto another one hour drive to Galway and the day ended here in our quite tide but lovely six bed room in the hostel.
Phrase of the Day: Sli amach

Ok, first of all, this is actually day 8, someone did something wrong, but nevermind. Our alarm didn't work, so we had to be quick, very quick. Sadly, we didn't have enough time to say goodbye to all host family members😢. When we were at the meeting point, we said goodbye to Nick and got into the bus and let's go. After a while, we arrived at a rest stop, did what you had to be done and went on. Another hour or so later, we arrived at the monastery of Clonmacnoise, where we had a visual audio tour, then a real tour and then some free time there. Hours of bus driving through the beautiful landscape of Mid and Western Ireland and interesting information-talking by the bus driver later, we firstly arrived at some 'mini' cliffs, where we took some photos and then about fifteen minutes later, we arrived at the Cliffs of Moher. We had the opportunity to buy souvenirs, but no one did, because they were too expensive. We first went to a tower on the right side, took some photos and then headed to the opposite direction (the cliffs of course 😉). About 30 minutes of walking nearly at the edge of the amazing cliffs later, we already had to get into the bus again. And by the way, during the two hour bus ride to Galway, we saw a double rainbow 🌈🌈. Anyways, after we arrived at the Sleepzone hostel, we split up into different rooms, ate some delicious dinner and went to bed. It was pretty cold and honestly the tour was very long ..After visiting the monastery we drove directly to some cliffs. After that we went to the cliffs of moher. The cliffs of moher can be up to 120m high. We walked along the age. The cliffs are very fascinating. Lastly we went to our hostel for the next two nights. Before we arrived in Galway we visited two famous sights of Ireland. The first one was Clonmacnoise which is a old monestery ruin. The second stop was at the Cliffs of Moher. It is a very special place with a undescribable view. The cliffs are arround 100 meters high. More over we made a cliff walk which gave us the chance to take a look at the cliffs from different views. Back in the bus we had to endure the infinit speech of the bus driver which drove us crazy. In galway we checkt in at the hostel and visited the small town of galway to get some dinner since we all were starving because we didnt eat a lot during the bus ride. After a bowl of cereal for breakfast, it was time to say goodbye to the host family. After another hour we stopped at Clonmacnoise an old village in the heart of Ireland.
Then we made our way to the Cliffs of Moher. They were beautiful.
Then at 17:30 we went back on the bus and drove to Galway. There we checked in to the hostel and unpacked our stuff.

Today we woke up, brought our suitcases down the staires and said goodbye to our Host mom. She gave us warm hugs and we decided to stay in contact with her. Then we drove to Clonmacnoise, where we paid for a guided tour, which was really interesting. Afterwards we went to the cliffs of moher. The view was stunning and we couldnt take our eyes off the waves crashing againt the shore and the Beautiful Green grass . We were all really sleepy when we got on the bus. After checking into the hostel, we went to dominos for pizza, which we ate on a parkbench. After that we bought some food and went home , where we talked to our Friends in the Kirchen. After everyone was ready for bed, juliane braided our hair and we had some intersesting conversations. Finally we went to sleep 🤞
Peace and Love Felicia & Pia❤️

Me and Juliane tried it and it actually worked! 😉
Afterwards we went on the bus again and drove to the Cliffs of Moher. It was just stunning! After breakfast was finished, we headed for the bus which took us to the ferryport, where the boat that would take us to the island of Inishmore was already waiting.
After we had arrived on the island, we headed for the bike rental and got our bikes. Shortly after we set off, to explore the beautiful Island of Inishmore.
We stopped at multiple beaches and admired the view, on one occasion we could even spot some seals roaming around in the water.
Because there had already been an accident at the start of the day with one student ending up in the hospital, we needed to head back earlier than expected because one of my classmates wasnt feeling well and couldnt bike any further.
At 17.00, we took the boat back to the mainland and got back to the hostel by bus.
Lukas Hollegha, Dominik W., Paul S., Felix F., Moritz G., Consti R.

Oh man today was an adventure. The day would have been boring, structured and well planed through: Simple getting there, leading to a biketour to some giant cliffs and get back. Simple as that, but some unfortunate things happend. First off was a miserable bikecrash, in which Vincent got so bad injured that he got a free helicopterride. But the group remained strong and continued after some disgusion. Til Felix (6c) went to the ground due to some seveir stomache ache. From there on nobody had a clue what to do. We spend some time in the middle of the nowhere to figure out what happend, until Frau Prof. Geretschläger reached out to us and ordered to get back to the ferry. We did as we were told and in the hostle we even met Vincent again, played games, bought lunch for tomorrow and passed the evening guard.
Phrase of the day: sli isteach

The reason we stopped of there was that one of most famous monasteries in Ireland was constructed there in the 6th century along the Shannon river. It was later the vikings and others and today it lies in ruins.
Later that day we drove to the Cliffs of Moher and they were beautiful and so was the road leading to it. It was like we had reached the end of the world, there were no tree, little civilisation, and just rocky hills. It was definitly worth the drive here.
-Mate, Michi, Jonas, Felix

Today was our last full day in Ireland and we visit the Aran Islands, just the biggest one. We had to take the ferry over to the island and once we got there we got some rental bikes and set off on our bike tour. Not much later some people had an accident at the back and we had to stop. While we were waiting we saw some seals inthe ocean. I personally had never seen seals before so it was really cool. Then we set off again towards some cliffs on the island but as we got there Felix didnt feel well and had to vomit. It turned out he had got a food poisoning for yesterdays dinner. We didntget to see the cliffs because by this time there was onlyone teacher left and we were all over the place so we had to turn around so that we didnt miss the ferry back. The usland itself though was beautiful, it also felt like we were at the end of the world.
We went to Mcdonalds with Miss Sadjak for dinner and after we thuoght it was all over foe the day Dominik W. realised he had losed his passport. We looked for it but we couldnt find it, so tomorrow is also going to be an interesting experience at the airport (luckily he has a copy of it, but it's still not the real thing).
A lot happend in our last day here and I'm kind of glad we are gonig home tomorrow.
- Mate, Michi, Jonas, Felix, Dominik W.

We drove by bus to the ferry dock, and then by ferry to the Aran Island. On the Island we rented some bicycles, because we wanted to make a trip around the island. Our tour started quiet well, but unfortunately after a few minutes a student crashed. He was brought by the ambulance to the hospital. After the first shock we continued our tour. We drove to some cliffs and there we saw seals. After our short brake we drove further east. There we wanted to visit some more cliffs, but unfortunately another student got sick. So we had to make a turn around and drove back to the harbour. Then we had some free time. Rafael and I went to the other side of the Island to see some high cliffs. In the afternoon we drove back to Galway. In the evening we went to the city center to eat our last dinner in Ireland
Nicolas .

Our schedule for today was pretty simple: get to the aran islands and do some sightseeing on bikes and maybe encounter some seals on the way. But shortly after a smooth ride on the ferry our luck had already faded. We just started the tour when Vincent appearently scrubbed the concrete with his face... (he fell of his bike). Things got so bad, he was even lifted out on a chopper to the nearest hospital. All that not being enough, Felix got off his bike too, due to really bad stomach aches. We weren't really sure on what to do after these incidents, so we just made our way back to the docks and spent our time waiting on the ferry around the area. At least the weather was decent and we was those seals tho. At home we just enjoyed the last day here by getting us some Pizza (not irish but good food) and getting supplies for the long bus ride on the next day back to the airport.

~ Dominik D.
~ Ian F.

So we actually just ended the trip and got back to the ferry which took of at 5pm. Arrived on the island we borrowed bicycles. Everybody took a bike and set off. At that point, everything was still fine. After only a short time there were already the first two injured and then there was also someone with food poisoning.
But now about the beautiful experiences. The bike tour was very fun and we also saw some of the scenery. The highlight on the island was that we saw seals. Even 9 seals. After a few kilometers of cycling we went back on the ferry and drove back to our hostel. There we went to Golway to eat and let the day end nicely. We also saw some seals and the views were awesome. After everyone checked into the airplane at a parking lot kind of Place, we were advised to cycle back to the island , which was a Lot of fun. We were all really cooperative and took care of each other . We were all really tired and kind of in a shook Stare when we took the ferry back and went to the hostel.

The very last day, tuesday.
It started early in the morning. We woke up at 6:15am so that there was enough time to pack our last things and to make us ready. At 7am the bus to Dublin left. The busride was really calming and relaxing and also perfect for reminding the things and events that happend in the past week.
At the airport of Dublin we quickly checked in and after a bit of waiting, we finally were allowed to board the airplane.
In Frankfurt we were in a huge stress. The boarding was about to end at 4:15pm but only half of the class was even through the security check.
Fortunately, our flight was delayed anyways, so we had enough time to board everyone.

When we arrived in Graz, we got back our baggage and said goodbye to our friends, the teachers and everyone else.

All in all, it was a very, very nice and fun trip to Dublin, Galway and the Aran Islands and it's sad that it's already over.
But we look foward to our next schooltrip!
:)

-Laurin S.

This day was quite a funny day. After having some morning classes with our kind and motivating teacher, we had enough time to explore Dublin's university campus. As a group of 7, we decided to grab something to eat and ended up having lunch in the park.

Highly motivated and not so hungry anymore, we met up at the second programme point of the day: Pub singalong! It was real fun to sing together with friends and enjoy the flair of the H'appeny Bridge Pub. I would recommend this if you hadn't done this yet!

We took the last bus home and so we had enough time to play some games and talk to our host family.

Bye,
Paula

Today started in a good way, as we took a ferry to the Aran Islands. It was good weather and everybody rented a bike from a small bike shop on the island.

Unfortunately, during our tour some incidents happened and the teachers really had to do a great job handling this situation. We had to return to the port, when it suddely started to rain.

Completely wet we arrived at the ferry and were still in shock. I think everybody was glad to go back to the hostel.

See you soon,
Paula

Our day started really early. At 7 o'clock we left our hostel with all our suitcases and backpacks and went by bus to the Dublin airport.

Round about 2 hours later we checked ourselves and our luggage in and passed the security control. We all could sit next to our friends on the plane and it was a relaxing flight to Frankfurt.

On the German airport, we really boarded our flight in the last minute. Imagine, we just had 20 minutes time for another security and passport control!

The landing in Graz was amazing, as the weather was good and we could see whole Styria from the perspective of a bird. We got our luggage back and were picked up by our parents, who couldn't wait to see us again;)

I was really happy to be back home as not everybody could travel back on this day;) I am pretty sure that I will never ever forget this wonderful trip to Ireland with its stunning sights and loads of unforgettable moments with my friends.

A last goodbye and I hope to see you soon on another trip:)

By Paula

Today we had to say goodbye to our host family and met up at a parking area in Swords to be picked up by a bus. Our bus was surprisingly small, but way more cozy than the big one!

We were on our way to Galway, when we stopped at Clonmacnoise. It's an old cemetary and you can see ruins of important monasteries from the 6th century. After having a guided tour there, we continued our route to Galway.

Oh, not to Galway. We also visited another important place to be seen in Ireland: the Cliffs of Moher! They are huge and thanks to the perfect weather we had a wonderful view. Believe me, several fotos were taken!

Afterwards, we finally arrived in Galway and checked into our hostel, where we will stay for the next two nights.

See you soon,
Paula
