I think as humans we should embrace it and strive to grow in every aspect of life. Coming here has been a big change for me and CAPS has truly helped me through every step of it. I love and appreciate how loud and proud they are about caring for mental health. That made it easy for me to feel comfortable reaching out and asking for help through this transition. I now regularly attend individual and group therapy sessions. Loving yourself can be hard. Especially as a minority, sometimes I have to dig deep to find strength within myself. To feel worthy enough to be assertive. All I can do to get better at this is practice. Practice saying affirmations. Practice speaking up for myself and others. Practice loving myself. Self worth is important in all aspects of life, but this is key. The way you treat yourself teaches others how to treat you.
