In 1962, the URSS placed several nuclear missiles in Cuba, all of them pointing at the USA. The missiles were sent through submarines, to stablish several bases, but they were detected by the USA. In response, the USA created a naval blockade: they sent war-boats to surround Cuba to avoid more submarines from leaving more missiles.
