2. Also, Salva is taller than Marial. When the uncle told him to cross the water by swimming salva got an idea he grabbed all the materials that a canoe would use then he brought those materials to the boatbuilders to make the boat/canoe. 
3. He had to go to a refugee camp that was shut down. 
4. So he had to cross the Gilo River which was covered in crocodiles and soldiers were shooting to get them to cross the river and a couple thousand people died. 
5. So when he survived he had been grouped with other boys that survived the attack. 
6. Also Salva treated the group as like his parents treated him when he was a kid. 
7. When he got to Kenya only 12,000 people got to Kenya safely.

Nya's tribe is trying to find a place with water that is not muddy.
 2. Also, Nya is trying to avoid the thorns because she already had a thorn stabbed in her foot and now it's sore. 
3. In the tribe, Nya was in AKA The summer camp all the people were getting sick and dying. 
4. There is an Iron Giraffe that is carrying and flowing their water. 
5. So when they have the iron giraffe carrying the water that they collect and that machine that carries the rest of the water makes too much noise they are so annoyed by the machine but they have to deal with it because it is helpful. 
6. Also, Nya tried to save Akeer but she couldn't in time because she passed away before she could do anything. 
7. She also helped clean out the trees in the field and helped take out all the poisonous animals and crop the farmland that they cleared out.

6. Uncle tried to protect the group from getting robbed but the people that were robbing him were from the Dinka tribe and Uncle was from the Nuer tribe so they took Uncle and tied him up to a tree.
7. They came from the west of the Nile river and they were heading to the Itang refugee camp.
